Liberals, can you please explain?
Biden, Pelosi, and Reid were all in congress the whole time Bush was in office. Obama for the last two years Bush was in office. Congress writes the legislation, meaning Biden, Pelosi, Reid and Obama wrote the legislation that Bush signed that caused the worst economy since the Great Depression. So if they were the ones that authored the legislation, how could the current regime have "inherited" anything? And how could it be only Bush's fault?
I'm looking forward to some well thought out answers.
Okay, so the offensive legislation was pre Bush, according to some of you, but that doesn't explain how it's Bush's fault. He is the football being kicked aound, not Clinton.
Three (supposedly) co-equal branches of government. Legislative (Congress) the ones who PRODUCE all legislation. Executive (president) who thumbs up or thumbs down what Congress produces.
This is basic stuff folks.
The economy was doing fine prior to the Dumbacrats taking control of the Congress 2007.

False. The bill that was the main cause was actually written during the Clinton administration, and was supported heavily by both parties.

Edit: Bush is blamed because many people saw the crash happening, even in his own party, but he was president at the time and did nothing to stop it. Is it his fault? yes and no, but he was in charge at the time, and when you are at the top it's your responcibility even when it's not.

The deficit for 2009 is based on the budget year from October 2008 through September 2009. According to the CBO, spending increased by 24 percent from fiscal year 2008 to 2009 . Much of that increase is the result of George Bush $3.1 trillion budget and big-ticket items enacted in 2008, including $133 billion for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) and $291 billion for bailing out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The Obama administration tacked on an additional $115 billion in stimulus spending in 2009. Other big spending items include a bill to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. On top of that, tax revenue is down about $400 billion, because individual income and corporate profits have dropped due to the economic downturn.
With the exception of the TARP bill the bailouts of 2008 was done by George Bush and his administration using money from the U.S. treasury and the federal reserve.

Our country has become so politicized it is unbelievable . I am a democrat who voted for Obama , however , I see no difference in our government since Obama has been in . I was very disappointed to see him electioneering all over the country while more of our troops are being killed in Afghanistan . How is he different from Bush .
