How many times have you seen this?
I've seen a couple cases where a Christian makes the claim that they've lived their whole lives screwing over others, doing drugs, and having sex with numerous women......but all that's changed. They've found Jesus and now don't do that anymore (or at least that much). Now they PREACH the word of the LORD and all the sudden become the Moral Authority of the Universe!
Wait a minute. I've lived my whole life as morally as I possibly could since I was a child and now this jackass wants to think he has some insight on morality just because he went screwing off people his whole life and somehow feels that his repentance makes him a better candidate to preach an ethical lifestyle? "Wow!" is all I can say. They really are passing the bong in the churches if they're really believing that crap.

Religion doesn't make anyone moral, a person chooses to be moral.
Renes above, goodness is a choice, religion or belief doesn't mean a person has goodness.

You have it wrong- they are now telling people HOW they got VICTORY over the bad stuff.
How many people do you know "out of control".. they can't stop spending- so they screw up everything? Want everything they see? How many over-party with the drink and how many are out of control with the sleeping around??? Making HUGE messes out of their lives?
How many are in "Anger control management" and the like? Therapy because their mom/dad whoever screwed them all up? They weren't loved, etc etc?
How many are on ALL kinds of pills- prozac, valium, Xanax? TONS.
God can and does totally change people's desires and gives them a whole new life- a whole new person inside. One that has Christ, and self-control now.
They are just spreading the good news that Jesus is the answer.

The problem is that you are looking at what human beings do instead at what Jesus did and what he tells you to do through the bible. If you keep looking at what people do you will be disappointed until the day you die. God's word will never pass away. Have you ever thought that maybe those ex-sinners are just trying to get you to see the light? God loves you, and is waiting with open arms. Look to God not to man!

Yes, you are completely correct. Anyone who is on such a moral high-horse is a total hypocrite.
The worst kind of these hypocrites are the ones who do it while trying to act like they are all humble and modest.
