Is a NVIDIA GeForce GTS240 superior to any NVIDIA series 8500 and above?

I am getting a game and it requires at least an NVIDIA series 8500. I have a GeForce GTS240.

    If those are the game requirements, you're fine.

    The GTS240 is a rebranded 9800GT- therefore it's far better than any 8500 or 8600 model, and even the original 320mb 8800GTS.

    The 8800GT has equal performance to a GTS240, while the GTX and Ultra versions would be superior.
