Christians, does your church celebrate All Saints Day? If so, how do you celebrate it?
@ David I am not Catholic, nor do i have any desire to be. Find out your facts before making accusations.
All Saints Day is a day to celebrate those who have gone to heaven before us. As someone else pointed out, all of us are saints.
In our church we have a spirit pole (methodists will be familiar with this) with a banner for every person who has passed away. The names are read and the families are recognized. The church family then joins in a response and prayer.

We had a special mass on the Feast Day - November 1st. It happened to fall on a Sunday this year but even when it is int he middle of the week we are required to attend mass that day. The altar and priest were wearing white to symbolize the triumph of the saints in heaven with our Lord.

With a service in the morning, and a concert in the evening including a Requiem.
I used to be in the choir, and I loved the feel of the music for All Saints & All Souls. Creepy and moving.
Sadly, after graduating from High school, choir ended and I stopped going to church. I've since educated myself much more in the Religion & Spirituality department.
The music was great though, I miss it!

My American Baptist church celebrated it for the first time this year, with a reading of the names of friends and relatives who had died over the past year while tolling a bell at each name. We also had flowers for the dead, and a sermon on what it means to be a saint.

All Saints Day is a Catholic holy day. It is the day that all the saints are honored. I don't know of any other Christian sect that observes it.
