What is the Decision on Afghanistan?
I think the president should ramp it up (add more troups) or take them all out. One or the other - make a DECISION. What is going on now is not working and a decision needs to be made so we don't waste more lives and ASAP. What do you think?

Get out ! The war was won in 2001 at Tora Bora when the Taliban were ousted from power and Osama Bin Laden was on the run. Just like with the Gulf war, that was the time to get out, victorious. But since then, we have been fighting resistance fighters, it's not a real war. Every last afghan wants us out of their country. No matter how many we kill, a thousand will rise for every death. Children that were too young in 2001 have now reached gun-wielding age. And will they ever hate us ! You can't trust anybody over there. President Karzai is rumoured to have a hand in the opium trade. In today's news, 5 british soldiers killed by a rogue policeman. The government and the army are stuffed with Taliban sympathizers with millions upon millions of supporters in the population, biding their time. Time to get out. We're not gonna win. We're outnumbered a thousand to one. And our reluctance to kill (hateful and deadly) civilians is a hurdle that could not be overcome in a conflict against civilians. Just think that these people have no scruple about killing their own with car-bombs and suicide bombers in restaurants, mosques, open market, while WE prosecute our soldiers who shot at the enemy on the battlefield. We're not gonna win this war because there's no will to win it, worse, there's a will not to win it. So better cut off the death toll now and bring our soldiers home now.

Still waffling.
Voting present just like in the Senate. Obama is a community organizer, not a president.

The president has bigger decisions to make than Afghanistan.
He is busy helping Michelle decide whether to wear black or blue at next Tuesday's tea party.

We've decided to leave it where it is,moving it over here would make it easier to police but the cost factor seems somewhat disproportionate to its effectiveness
