why do so many people want to live there?
According to a recent poll:
"The most popular destination was the United States, where nearly a quarter of the 700 million -- around 165 million people -- said they would like to settle."

165 million people out of 6.5 billion people isn't that much (2.53%) and it's the 6 billion people who dislikes the US not the 165 million, see the difference in numbers? Also note that 535 million people (over 70%) that wants to move to another country didn't want to go to the US so they are in majority. Those who want to move to the US is in vast minority, 2.53% of the world population, and should not be seen as a norm or as "so many".

its just that there are bored ppl in this world who have nothing better to do than trash talk
the couple dozen ppl here on yahoo answers cant compare to the rest of the world!
