turn on car without radiator?
im about to buy a crashed 03 cavalier.
but it dont got the radiator.
can i start the car just for like 1 minute and see if the car's engine and trans is working?

yes that's ok you can actually run it until you can feel the WARMTH in the engine with your hand but run it for as short as possible time to minimise any chance of damage.good luck

For a very SHORT period of time, simply to determine if the engine runs normally and the transmission engages.

you can start the car for a few seconds to check the engines condition.
but on the transmission, you will have to drive it to see if it is still good.

ok to run for 30 sec to 1 min...no longer...aluminum head will warp quick without coolant
