what would you say to people that give you a grumpy look when you smile at them?

Ignore them. If they want to be grumpy, I wouldn't want them in my world of happiness.

I don't smile to people that look weird, but in that case I will probably said; "tell yourself a joke", and I will return the grumpy look. And the next time depends on what hse do.

Some ppl are just downers or not accustomed to others showin interest in them. I lived in NC for most of my life, and it was socially etiquette to smile at those u walked passed and made eye contact w/. It was the courteous thing to do, and slightly rude not to. But here in Miami, they look at u like ur mad, when u smile at ppl u dont kno.

Others are just negative ppl, and are annoyed to c others happy. I kno i had my funks when i was hellbent on being mad at the world, and i'd c some cheerful lil prick w/ sunshine coming out off his/her @ss, and i'd piss me off to a whole-nother level.

But if it was me, i smile back again depending on their reaction to the smile or my mood of that certain moment. Ima lightweight sadist, and if i get a kick out of seeing someone mad cause of my happiness, ima cheese like a fool the nxt time i see them XD

any other time, i get mad and im like "well d@mn, u didnt have the decency to not accept my smile, u ungrateful....." (then i go into a cursing spree in my head for the rest of the way home or wherever my destination is)

I would ignore the grumpy look, not say anything about it and keep smiling.

Well, if they are disgruntled by your enthusiasm, then you are obviously annoying them.

The best thing to do when you have unintentionally annoyed someone is to annoy them intentionally even more!

You flash them a smile, they pout.

"Hey there, YOU sure look happy to see me!" you say with a big grin. They become angered. Your face is f***ing annoying to them right now. "AWW! Is somebody a GRUMPY GOPHER TODAY?" You ask condescendingly. They laugh or continue to be annoyed. Continue with exaggerated sayings and gestures until they get the joke and laugh.

I would smile again....it's easy to do. They could be experiencing any number of monumental problems; we don't know. But it doesn't cost anything to try to brighten their day a little.

I would smile, and ignore their actions. I would assume they were going through a bad time.

I say nothing, I just keep smiling, they're the one with the problem, not me, and I won't allow them to affect my mood or to make their problem, my problem.

sure i'd smile at them and ask if they are constipated.
