Send it to the army relief society, they help soldiers for all kinds of emergencies as well as their families when they are overseas.

Army relief sounds good but Also recommend the Fort Hood USO. because they are simply closer and can quickly locate all the families.

Fort Hood actually announced last night that they will be setting up a fund for these families (check their website). PLEASE make sure you give the money to an actual military organization. Remember Katrina and 9/11 charities?

there may already be an organization that is taking collections for this cause. You might try going to the Ft. Hood website. Just be aware of people trying to defraud people out of their money that they think they're giving to a worth cause!

I do not think you will need to help. I am sure we are going to see law suites out of this seeing the military had knowledge of this mans mental condition.
