Need help finding a traditional muzzle loader barrel wrench, please guys.?
I need a barrel wrench for my Hawkens .54 caliber muzzle loader. or just the block, I had make do with vise grips and leather and a vise, but this would really help me out, or if you guys have any other idea of how to remove a barrel from the breech plus on a octagonal traditional muzzle loader barrel.
And no I didn't get the ball stuck I just want to remove it so I can completely clean it out from lead fowling. Yes I know they have to be completely aligned and if I can't get it back down I can always take some 1 1000's of the back with my lathe and make a new fit.

Why in the HELL! are you pulling your breech plug?????????
are you a rifle smith?
do you know it has to be perfectly lined back up ? would you have a freakin' clue as to how to do that?
Unless there is no other way to remove the BALL I'm guessing you got stuck down the barrel dont do that...Blow the ball out with a little FFFFG powder dribbled in the hole after you have removed the nipple , put it back together and pop it out with a cap.
OR.... use a ball puller and pull it out, if theres powder in it presoak the breech in soapy water for 15 minuets first!
