On offense; the “departure” of Plaxico caused a void in the receiving corp that leaves Eli missing a big-time big target.
With the exception of Kevin Boss, NONE of those guys are stepping up to fill the void.
With the exception of Hixon and Boss, the taller receivers on the roster aren’t being used.
Hixson should be the one to step up and be that go-to WR that Eli had with Plaxico being there; NOT Steve Smith.
Smith has speed but can’t/won’t/don’t go UP and get the ball sometimes.
They need another speedy receiver that can and WILL go up to catch the ball.
Why don’t they go more with two or three TE sets and or start using the other taller receivers and see if one of them can be more productive than detrimental.
On D, they need Aaron Ross back and somebody tell those safeties they’re supposed to defend against the pass too.
Linebackers are O.K. and can be better.
Special teams are O.K. but no punt or kick returner that anyone fears.
imo, overall, the Giants are still a good/solid football team that can still take the division.

The only good team the Giants had beaten were the Cowboys and that was due to 4 giftwrapped turnovers that led to 24 of the Giants 33 points in that game. Even with the turnovers, the Giants STILL were only able to pull it out with a last second field goal to win by 2. Another poster said it, but it's true... the Giants weren't all that good to begin with.
To answer your question directly, Eli is the Giants problem. Easily the most overrated QB in the League. Easily.

Nothing wrong with them, actually.
They never been considered as good football team anyway, except g-men fans.
The lost yesterday was purely coaching decision and maybe the execution; leading by 3 and with 3:23 to play, how could they not know how to run off the clock? As fans watching, we all know givig back the ball to Rivers with more than 2' and only 6 point lead was a problem, serious problem, why could coach Tom know it?

On offense they don't have a tall receiver, offense not as good since losing Burgess.
Defense
New defensive cord., injuries, weak schedule to start the year.

Looks like The Giants got the wrong QB. When you sign 1 player to huge money in football it means that you're taking away talent from another position. Its not baseball where you can just hand out money like there's no tomorrow

They were always overrated.
In that 5-0 start the only good team they played was Cowboys,Giants didn't crumble, they weren't good to begin with.

they had a 5-0 start because they didn't play anyone good ... they're the same team they were at 5-0

They were extremely overrated.
They had an easy schedule in their first 5 games, and then when they faced competitive teams, they showed their true colors.

Saints sting them with poison and starting to lose. Can't underestimate the power of the Saints.
