Could it be??? Please Answer...?

Okay, we have been TTC since our miscarriage on July 29th. A few months back we had a bit of a set back. The hubby's testicle tube twisted (which I hear is fairly common) and he had to have sergury to have it untwisted...no affect to fertilization though :). Sooo, I had my period on October 23rd. We tried on Nov. 4, 6, and 8 (days 13, 15, and 17 of cycle). Sat. through today I have had the mucousy discharge (indicating ovulation). So we would have tried the day before ovulation and on the second day into ovulation (when dischare was at its peak). I know none of you are doctors, but based on research and experience, what do you think? And when should my pregnancy symptoms begin, if I were preggers. Btw, period is due on Nov 21st (about a wk and a half). When could I test at the earliest and get a +? Thanks everyone!

Oh, and when would implatation occur and are any cramps or anything associated with it??? I have had 3 children, but never had to track my dates to concieve. So I am a bit dusty on the TTC. Thanks again :)

For me pregnancy symptoms began at almost 6 weeks.

Lots of women do report having symptoms in their two week wait (the time between ovulation and the expected date of their next period) though. Things like exhaustion, nausea, sore breasts, cramps.

I did in-vitro and was on several drugs during my two week wait so I wasn't sure if my symptoms were related to pregnancy or the medicines.

If you are pregnant you can likely get an accurate result on a good test (I found that first response early result were the most sensitive) as early as 11dop (days past ovulation) That is when I got my first very faint positive line. Remember, on a home pregnancy test and line that appears on the test side should be considered positive, it doesn't have to be as dark or darker than the control line.

Implantation generally happens around 7-10 days after the date of ovulation. Lots of women report cramping the resembles mentral cramps during that time. Personally, I experienced that. My cramps felt just like those I get with my period but only lasted about one day. Some women also report bleeding or spotting during implantation.

As far as knowing when to test, it's more important to know the date of ovulation than the date of your next period.

Once you ovulate, the egg is fertilized, then implants (attaches to) in the uterine lining, then it begins producing the hormone HCG (the one that pregnancy tests detect) It takes a few days for that hormone level to get high enough for home tests to detect it.

You're best bet is to wait 12 or 13 days after ovulation to test.

    GOOD LUCK TO YOU! :)

Well, implantation should occur between 6 dpo and 12 dpo. The average is around 8 dpo. Cramps can start right after implantation. And regarding the best time to test, it's best to wait until you have missed you period (I got mine at 12 dpo though). But with these high sensitivity hpt, some people get positives as soon as 10 dpo. Goodluck!!!

  • To get an accurate result that you can trust i would suggest that you test a week after you've missed your expected period. You should get implantation bleeding around the time you expect your period. Be careful to look out for pregnancy signs as they can be associated with symptoms of PMS.

Good Luck and Bunches of Baby Dust!!!!
