how do people break their arms and legs at home?

Im wondering because this guy at work said he broke his arm at home. i didnt hear the whole story but im just wondering how. and he said he didnt fall.

    If he didn't fall then maybe he had a fight with someone at home or he banged something so hard that it broke his arm. Sounds painful anyway.

    something heavy could have fallen on his arm or he could have gotten it slammed between a door or something similar....or maybe he was doing aerobics a little too vigorously that day lol

    I have sprained my ankle while sleeping by sticking it through the bottom bars and turning.

    i have twisted my ankle out side my apartment by walking my dog and tripping down the stairs
