GUYS ANSWER ONLY: Why do guys make fun of other guys who wear tighty whities but not jockstraps?

Try looking it at another form. A girl wears a skimpy sexy bikini to the beach. Another girl wears a extra-large T-shirt and hip-hop pants to the beach. Both are of the same fabric. Who is likely to get teased?

Tighty-whities are deemed as uncool as not only do they look like diapers, they are also more commonly worn by small kids. As such when other guys see that, with that usual guy character, they will tend to tease the one wearing it.

Jockstrap is more of a 'professional' wear, associated with sex. With such kinky wear that suggests 'adult activities', who will tease you that you're a kid. Well, people don't usually wear jockstraps out, its more oftenly used to add flavour to foreplay and sex.

A fair compromise nowadays for wearing underwear would be to wear a dark coloured briefs (those that don't look kiddy), or to wear boxers.

At some point (I believe the 80s), briefs (tighty whities) were replaced by boxers as the underwear you should wear.

Jock straps will never be made fun of because it means you are protecting yourself against injury in a manly sport (ex. football) since it is essentially just a means of strapping a cup to yourself.

So your instincts were correct. You can still wear briefs, but I would recommend boxer briefs if you don't want to be teased.

No it doesn't make sense but then guys in groups make fun of anything. If you wear briefs just say they are way more comfortable than those ugly ugly boxers and not nearly as hot under your pants. When I was a kid, only a few old men wore boxers.

Real men wear jockstraps. They are not only for protection of ones package but also erotic for sensual pleasures.
