If the cincy bearcats go undefeated does tonights replay official get a ring?
West Virginia got robbed no way the video evidence was conclusive beyond doubt. looks like the ball was moving in pead's arm as he stretches the ball out and there is no clear angle as to if the ball is over the goal line. ESPN does not have the overhead camera running tonight
it was inconclusive at best.
this and bad calls in the sec make you wonder
bruce - if they call the fumble take 7 pts away from the bearcats and it was 14-14 on your "illegal shift" play.
a cincy td or fg would have only made it a 1 score game and wvu would have tied or took the lead in the game with their late td and not even needed the onside kick
but wvu screwwed themselves on the 3rd and 8 draw play and going for it on 4th and 7. a 4 yd screen would have been a smarter call if they were planning on going for it on 4th

Bob, you obviously were not watching the game or you would know your response was stupid. You don't have to have officiating experience to see that call clearly could not be overturned with the evidence available.
Edit:
Rob as I said. It was in no way clear that the ball was across the plain prior to the ball becoming lose. There has to be irrefutable evidence to overrule the call on the field. Not only was the evidence not irrefutable enough to overrule the call on the field, the evidence appeared to uphold the call on the field. In the most relevant angle, the ball was coming lose the moment he reached out. The ref in the booth was completely unjustified in what he did. Look for suspensions to come out of this.

Sorry Riggo, but I'm going with Bob.
Only one molecule of football has to cross the very front edge of the goal line plane (where the green meets the white) for the play to be dead and the result ruled a touchdown. It's obvious from the second replay that the ball was almost completely across the plane when it began to rotate in his hand. The ball was already dead when he lost it and you cannot fumble a dead ball.
Touchdown was the correct call.

What ring? They don't give out rings for winning anything in college football. It violates amateur standing. Get some self esteem and move on with your life and forget about blaming refs for your standing in life.
