If The Fort Hood Shooter Had Not Been A Muslim...?
If the Fort Hood shooter had not been a Muslim named "Nidal Malik Hassan", but a white soldier named "Nicholas Mark Harrison", what kind of spin would the Republicans have tried to put on the whole mess, instead of screeching "terrorist attack"?
@FAIL: And if he does have ties to Al Qaeda, then what? That will be a convenient excuse for the start of "Manzanar, Part Two?" The Republicans will LOVE that one: Muslim internment camps...WAIT A SEC! What do we need that for, when we already have Gitmo? Just override the President's effort to have it closed and send them all down there, right? You crack me up.
Gee, it sure gives me hope for the future, reading some of these responses. Typical, knee-jerk CONservative reaction, right? Kill a fly with a Howitzer instead of a fly swatter. If a guy with a Muslim name and POSSIBLE Taliban/Al Qaeda ties commits an act of extreme violence, then EVERY Muslim in American must be aligned with them, too, right? This is what Fox News hath wrought.

I see that talking about suicide bombers immediately makes someone "tied to AlQaeda". Americans are really pathetic. You whine about shooting in your country but you don't mind supporting troops who kill millions in our countries. The fort Hood shooting is an average day in Iraq or Afghanistan, you don't have the right to complain about "Muslim terrorists" because you made those terrorists.

I agree that the shooter will be tried under the UCMJ and if (when)found guilty, he'll either spend life in prison, or more likely be executed. I disagree that the media is downplaying it and making him a victim but that's just what some people would expect others to do. This will be bigger news next week than it is today.

The man called Al Qaeda members over 20 times. He had business cards with SOA on them. That is a terrorist acronym. His acquaintances said he spoke of terrorist sympathies openly. They thought he was dangerous. He yelled Allah Akbar throughout the shooting. Now, what is he? What will it take for you to believe he was a radical Muslim terrorist? Is it that you can't be convinced because FOX said it? Better think that over.

The MSM and current Administration would have taken over Church in America to weed out the terrorists threats. But since he was a Muslim, we cannot jump to conclusions as it may impact diversity--Casey needs to be fired for being a traitor to this nation.

No spin. A scumbag is a scumbag.
Either way, the libs would still be trying to blame it on us.
And BTW- Anyone wearing robes, screaming "Allah Akbar", and firing a weapon at unarmed people is a terrorist. I don't give a rat's azz what color he is.

But you forget,he was Muslim and he was another radical type.Spin Doctors have not had to put anything in this at picture. How would you feel if someone close to you have been shot by a nutcase screaming about his religion?Wake up! The animal will get his day in court.

Right...if you ignore that he is a Muslim and was in contact with AQ and was vocal in saying that the US was trying to exterminate Islam.....if you ignore all of those, then this guy was just a soldier that cracked under pre-emptive post traumatic stress....which is sort of a contradiction since in order to have post-traumatic stress disorder...it would have to be after ("post") a traumatic event in combat.

Republicans would have found it reprehensible that the terrorist was in contact with other known terrorists, and shouted a Jihadist expression at the time of the killings. Obama, on the other hand, would have said the killer acted stupidly.

I have seen all the news media at least mention the terrorist possibility, the only one who apparently ignores the situation is you.

They knew who he was chatting with, knew he was unstable and what did YOUR great homeland security/ military do? Absolutely nothing. Inaction costs lives.

The FACTS that almost validate this as a Muslim radical "terrorist" act, was this man SHOUTING "ALLAH AKBAR" as he started shooting. This says it ALL. It is a call made during "battle" to tell their God they are sacrificing themselves in his "jihad" against the infidel. Period.
