Want to play a game? Yahoo Poets...?

Write a poem about someone on YA PS.

I was walking, just not looking

Just not looking as I walked

Helping when I thought I could

Bored with teenagers who talked

Who asked, "Do you think I'm pretty?"

"Do I look fat in this?"

"Do you like my little ditty?"

"Is my girlfriend really pissed?"

I rolled my eyes and thought of leaving

Leaving this place far, far behind

But then I saw this odd, odd question

And it stayed here in my mind

About a whale and some kelp

And an elephant's dripping trunk

And thought was I needed help

And ran I 'round to find the one

Even asked but no response

"Where is Buk? Where'd he go?"

And waited til I felt the fool

And left for months this funny place

Just forgetting Answers, Yahoo

By accident, I did return

By accident I found the site

The special one where poets gathered

To share to read to fuss and fight

Emotional skiing down mountain side

I paid the ticket and took the ride

And it was my awesome luck

I found the guy whose name was Buk.

Some think a TD is all they need

And I'll run and hide in shame

They say I'm 'prima donna'

But I'll take 'diva', all the same

I ain't leavin', Little Ian

My smart & rich & humble friend

I'm here to stay & annoy ya, Luv

To play and tease until...The End.

This poem is about Jellz - she is my hero. (Oh, it's about Buk, too. And Ian. It's about Ian, too. I was worried I wrote it too deep.)

PS I did not try to write a good poem this time - I was just writing to delay a chore I need to do. Ta!

Update:

Ooooh, Don! (examines life fer the berry first time) Please add me to yer contacts, Sugar! Could ya give me a piece of yer mind next time? Uhhh, I see you can't spare any. Dang!

Update 2:

69, someone has your number. Oh look! It's me.

Update 3:

Oh, Look! It's Snotty Answers From Snots Day! And I forgot to send cards.

Update 4:

Thanks, John!

Update 5:

I gots my girls - Baby Blues

Bluebell and Jellz

So many friends

And the rest can goes to

Never mind. (Don can't dance; he wears those funny elf shoes that curl up on the end. Sandy peeked under his dress. )

Update 6:

Angus - MY STALKER! You're back! And I was worried I'd lost you. Now keep closer tabs, will ya, Sweetie?

Update 7:

Granny, Darlin', once you join our crowd, you are never allowed to leave again; it's some kind of law. (Hey, Jellz, Girlies, Guylies, we trapped another one. Woo Hoo!)

Update 8:

Shirley - yer ending...it's so obvious...

From Shirley, who's everyone's friend.

Update 9:

Pssst, Sin? Ahem, what are you up to, Girlie, and can I do it, too? whss swiss siss whiisss (innocent person whistling - not up to any mischief. No, really!) call me when the horn blows at midnight before the caged bird signs...er....sings...

Update 10:

Ah, shucks, Cassie! I like 'em out of beat - s'way I tend ta write them. LOL

Update 11:

Little ballerina, I look forward to what I'm gonna say, too - 'cause I never know ahead of time. It's a little scary. LOL

Oh, my gosh! I just love this poem! I am cracking up so much because you express feeling so many of us have....take a look over in the seniors section........crimeny...I too thought of leaving, because I got discouraged at thumbs down at me, and deleted questions, but when I got past that, I was asking a question about cancer and the people who answered my question kindly? Some of them had four or five thumbs down, then I got ticked at people for giving my "answerERS" down. I had a serious question about cancer because I am waiting bone marrow results. I am like, "What goes with this place?" So I closed down my e mail, and have everything quiet...but guess your words my think...sorry, I hope you don't mind if I am laughing. If only you had a clue how you made my day. I have to star this so I can read it again. Thankyou, from *granny* who loves to read and write poetry, but doesn't have the guts to do it here.

Source(s): I'm baaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhk! Still laughing. You are so good!!! I giggle with tears in my eyes, and belly bouncing.

Fredric will always spring to mind when it comes to romance P'quaint. Romance doesn't seem to feature too highly for the muses of other poets, imho. Perhaps I have been tarnished too much by the animosity seen on here recently. There was one poem Gio wrote which was up there with Fredric's. I'll have to ponder some more. Yes of course, Questor and Yesu Ben and one I saw from Angry Pete.

  • Oh BG

I am so glad you came back

    you picked up the slack

from under the worn and dirty

    gunny sack..

    you brought me a smile

    a chuckle ...a few

    I was running away

    if you only knew

    this horrid place

    this space in my life

    that YA calls poetry

    aint that a slice

    now suffice it to say...

    I come back each day

    to see what frackus

is leading the way.. I laugh and I chuckle

I don't have to buckle my seat belt

    is missing

    the teapot is hissing

and my place in this place

    instead of dismissing

    ....

    I know I am HOPEless...

    and that Don Bernardino guy

    still won't dance with me

did you tell him I can't dance?

I'm w/BB. My first Y!A answers were all in Health where I usually know what I'm doing. Now, I almost never leave Poetry. I try to just answer the most recent question when I open the folder, but I've got to admit, if I see a poem from Buk or Ma or Sin or HH or MTR, or Schultzie or Semper or any of the "regulars" (or irregulars) I've got to skip down to that question becaue the writing's reliably interesting. It's become a sick addiction. To Poetry.

I once knew a girl named Sandy

    Whose laughter was mighty handy

    She'd come out to play

    And Giggle all day

That girl is sure a dandy

I also knew a girl named Kathy

She sure could get kind of Sassy

    She made me laugh lots

With her shows that are tops

And her jokes that were pretty brassy

There's a poetry gal called Sin

I'd like to think is my friend

    She's top of the heap

    Her poetry we'll keep

To read over and over again

And then of course there is me

Who can't write for squat you see

So I'll stop while I can

    And not torture you again

With these silly limericks.... <<<you finish

    To bobby's girl

I remember well when you said goodbye

    said you were leaving

    thought you were the cause

    of too much pain.

And I flooded you with emails

    saying

    No

    you can't.

    None of this

    have you caused

This has gone on before you,

and will continue after you leave.

There is a need in you

    to be here.

    So stay

    and play.

    And see the joy

    in your heart

    and all

    the others?

    Smiles.

Hands you a cup of tea

    and cookies

    and sits with you.

*Blush - I think it aint ABOUT Jellz or any of those but it's what Jellz is VERY pleased to read (the read tween the lines meaning). It means "BG is gonna be all right! and we helped her find her way" Yay Woo! Life's Good chicky! It's survival of the fittest and you are looking RED HOT Mamma BG!

All I said was "keep walking" and you got up and ran!! (Thankfully not as in Forest Gump but like "running round in circles like a headless chook" so I get to see you pass by occasionally LOL)

    Rawk on baby!

Edit - to my stalking down-thumber I just wanna sing "thumber time, and the living ith eathy, fithh are jumpin and the cotton ith high..." oh gosh will attract more td's LOL

    Poetry is where I live

No where else I want to be

Here friends I've made, help they give

    Inspiring like our own B.G

(short and sweet and out of beat - sorry)
