I get annoyed at that yahoo tips thing overall--telling me I have a lot of punctuation, if I pause in the middle of a word they tell me it's a misspelling--I wish there was a way to turn the darn thing off. I am perfectly capable of catching my own errors.

nah, it would be too much trouble for yahoo. But you are correct, it does seem a bit odd yahoo doesn't recognize obama.

YA does recognize the name Obama, it does however not recognize the plural or possessive of his name.
