Why does our cat have a foot fetish?

My cat is kind of like that. But instead, she'll lace herself around your feet when you walk, tripping you. I'm not sure why they do that, but I shouldn't complain or anything because I actually have a foot fetish myself. (Ain't that the peachiest thing? LOL)

Anyways, my advice is, gather the money to get her spayed at whatever it takes. Even if you have to sell some stuff. And before anyone suggests it- DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get her de-clawed! That isn't the answer. No claws, and she'll just start biting your feet. Ouch! And if you cat's like mine, her teeth are sharper and more dangerous than her claws.

Never mind the foot fetish. It's not a fetish, she needs fixing, she's trying to relieve the raging hormones inside her when she's in heat that tell her to get a mate. This is very unfair on her.

Get onto Google and look up low cost or free spay/neuter clinics in your area. Get on to your local Humane Society and ask them for information about low cost spey/neuter too, they will have details.

Failing that, borrow some money or sell something to get the money together. Call local vets and ask if they would accept a payment plan.

Cats do like feet often, probably because they smell attractive and cheesy. Yum. Go on, get her spayed SOON! :)

Alot of animals have a foot fetish. Its normally caused by a bad experience in the past like someone may have stepped on her feet. If she keeps bitting or chewing on her feet you can go to petsmart and buy some bitter apple or get yuck. I work at petsmart and ive had no complaints about it and i have experience with it too and i know it works. So if it dosnt work for u u can email me and i can give u some more advice on it.

It's the smell. They do that with worn shoes, as well. The way to deal with it is to address the underlying cause, which is the estrus. As far as I know there are cat pills for that.
