How should I go about getting a wedding band for my uniquely shaped engagement ring?

Here's a picture of the ring:

I'm guessing we'll need to have a v shaped wedding band custom made. The e-ring is 14k white gold, so I would imagine the wedding band should be, too. I was thinking of maybe having some tiny white sapphires running along the top of the band. Where should I go to have something like that made? Does anyone have any idea around how much I should expect that to cost?

Thanks!

Yes, you'd need a v-shaped, or maybe a curved one would work.

Hopefully you can find something ready-made; custom could be big bucks.

If you can't find something to fit/match, an alternative is just to get a wedding band you like, and wear the e-ring on the other hand after you are married.

    Good luck on your hunt!

That is a very unique stone. In my opinion, I would leave the band simple, without the sapphires, it would just take away form the beauty of the center stone. A diamond shape for the cut would probably be the only way to fit that in, and it would probably be pretty pricey - it usually costs around 900-1000 dollars if not more, depending on the quality, to have a custom cast made for a piece of jewellery. If you live in Canada, I know that Birk's, People's, and Fire and Ice Jewellery have custom-making services, but I warn you they can be pricey. Good luck

Try going to a jewelery store and seeing if there are any curved bands that will work with your ring. There are some with small diamonds in them that may work with your ring.

If you have to have the ring made, start with your local "Mom & Pop" type jeweler. Some of the bigger chain stores can make a cast of your ring and make a ring to sit with it, but I personally prefer the customer service & quality of the local merchants. If you have to get the ring made, the price will be determined by the workload, stones in the ring (type & size).

Find out the store that your guy got the ring at. I thought I'd have the same problem with my ring (3-stone, with little "swirlies" on it), but as soon as I found out where he bought my e-ring, I went in there to talk to them about custom making me a band to sit flush against my e-ring. My custom-made band will only cost $345, but it's going to only be a 2-tone gold "swirlie" band (no stones or anything).

maybe an "enhancer ring" would work. You'll have to go to a jewelry store and try stuff on to see what fits and what looks good. Here are some examples from Kay Jewelers.
