    That's awesome. :-)

Try contacting the 501st Legion, which is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization--mostly stormtroopers--consisting of and operated by Star Wars fans. They are not licensed by LucasArts, but they are the best-known and most well-organized Star Wars costume brigade. You'll see them at most conventions, official events, etc.

More information (including pictures, a mission statement & event request form) can be found at their website:

There are chapters (aka "garrisons") everywhere. The PA/DE/WV chapter is known as Garrison Carida; they are quite active here in the Philadelphia area. In addition to their appearances, they do a lot of charity work (according to their FAQ, they ask for a charitable donation instead of booking fees). They are available for public & private events, and you can find more information about donations & booking at their website:

Good luck, and may the force be with you! ;-)

If you want people to guard your cake, then you need to hire security. Stormtrooper costumes are hot, uncomfortable, and hard to move and see in.

Well as you're looking at Star Wars chances are that you've got friends with the costumes (my FI does).. Ask them if they'll slip out of the church early and put on their costumes until you get there.

Other then that ask some party supply stores and wedding/party/costume rental places if they do or know of anyone who does.
