I heard today that the the Senate Health care bill proposes to tax "Cadaillac" plans that cost over apprx $8k?
per year. Is this true? bc that would include just about every HMO/POS plan for people in NY if you don't qualify for a Healthy NY plan ( which means you make more than $2,500/month). That being said if this passes most of us that get our health insurance through work would probably see your coverage dropped by your employer or you rates go up. Good job Obama!
I am not saying that we don't need reform. I am saying that this is not the answer. Putting health care decsions in the hands of "experts" not DR's is not hte answer. How about doing something to curb the cost of malpractice insurance or the cost of getting a medical degree. My parents cardiologist has already announced he is retiring when the new medicare reimbursement rates take affect. Obam is a Jackass!!! AS IS THE PERSON WHO MADE THE WHINING COMMENT. TAX TAX TAX SPEND SPEND SPEND! CAN YOU REALLY TELL ME THAT THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT f- UP EVERYTHING IT TOUCHES!!!
• Forty percent Tax on high premium insurance plans, so-called "Cadillac" plans, those plans costing over $8,500 for individuals and $23,000 for families.
the 40% tax will be passed through to me as a higher premium or my benefits will be reduced. My plan by no way is a cadilac plan. it is just a normal ppo

Well duh.
Obama WANTS companies to dump their health insurance so he can TAX the companies and force their employees in the GOVERNMENT "OPTION".
That way he gets to control the company through taxes AND the people through dependency.
Are you just now figuring this out?

You heard wrong. The tax for plans over $23,500 per year would be subject to a tax. A 40% tax on the INSURANCE COMPANIES not on the individuals. It also includes an increase of 1/2 of 1% on the MediCare withholding tax for couples making over $250,000 per year. An finally a tax credit for those making from 133% to 300% of the poverty level. For instance, the poverty level income for a family of 4 is $22,050. So for a family of 4 making from $29,326 to $66,150, tax credits would be given towards the health insurance they currently purchase.

Lying disingenuous dictators. They will stop at nothing to take over this country. And the stupidity of todays liberal will cheer this theft. Until it happens to them.
No taxes on the middle class. Obama lies.

Why is this so obvious to people like you and me, but not to our Harvard educated president?
Obama is intentionally destroying the USA.
OBAMA = One Big A** Mistake, America!
They say they will tax only the rich.
But then "rich" means not poor.
And not poor means, anybody making more than poverty line income.
Welcome to the Obama nation!

Don't confuse the Liberals with the facts - the only word Liberals understand is "FREEEEE".
Liberals do not understand how health care can be FREE - they just love that word - FREEEE!

While you whine like a child, 44,000 Americans die every year because they cannot get health insurance.

You can bet your bottom dollar it would exempt the unions and the lawmakers.
