1. If you wish to return a gun to the factory, be sure to follow these instructions.
A.Be absolutely certain the firearm is not loaded prior to mailing.
B.Pack the firearm carefully. Use ample cushioning material and a sturdy outer cardboard box. Do not ship in a special container that you want returned.
C.Accessories such as scopes, scope mounts, gun cases, quick detach type swivels, sling straps, etc., should be removed prior to returning the firearm.
D.Attach a complete letter of information to the outside of the package. The letter should describe the model number, serial number, description of the damage or problem, and under what conditions the difficulty occurs.
E.Clearly mark your return address on the outside of the box and your accompanying letter.
F.If the firearm is not covered by warranty, we will supply an estimate of the repair cost before proceeding with the work. Repairs will be made upon receipt of your check or money order. If repairs are not possible, the gun will be returned.
G.Please do not ship ammunition to the factory.
H.Ship your firearm via U.P.S. or insured Parcel Post. Shipment must be prepaid and addressed to:

The price is going to vary greatly depending on the condition. While the 1953 336 is a fine vintage rifle, it was and is still a common man's hunting rifle. It does not have the collector's attraction of a Winchester (although many, including me, will prefer the Marlin design). If you have a near perfect truly original and pristine rifle (1 in 10,000 probably) it may be of interest to a collector to the tune of $500 or more. Much more likely you have a used but well kept example which is worth in the $200 to $350 range, and this depends on the buyer and the location. If it has been refinished or neglected (rust pitting, heavy dents, etc.) expect less. I've answered one of your previous questions suggesting a peep sight. With a good sight and some dedicated practice shooting sessions, even a novice rifleman can become proficient at hitting the sweet spot within the range of the .30-30 round. This is not a 400 yard rifle or caliber, more like 150 and less being ideal, so a shooter with normal vision will do just fine without magnification. You will still need to have your receiver drilled and tapped for a good receiver sight to mount, as you said your was not D&T'ed.
