We think that we understand it but it is actually a mental image that we perceive as a physical reality.

What appears to us to be the physical reality is essentially a mental projection .

This all happens within a unified consciousness that we perceive ourselves as being a separate from. That is the trick, we are never separate except within the thought form that we think of as the physical reality.

Interesting how completely it has everyone fooled isn't it?

Understand that out of that 100% mental, the physical part is 1%, that should do it. The thing is that it's not that simple to undertstand that; and that too is mental!0!

The term for this cluster of cosmic questioning is "solipsism". Another way is expressing is in the proposition that only consciousness exists. In my own ruminations on these matters I have concluded that consciousness, i.e. the Self, is made up of that of which we are consciousness. We are conscious of, and only conscious of sense data and our consciousness. This is our only reality and unless we can find a way to transcend the dominant role of that which our consciousness projects as "physical" and/or other we cannot escape our interdependence on, out inter-being with it. It seems more promising to accomodate, to integrate the lesser part to the greater

Reality: That which is both coherent with our sensory experience and rational construct of the sum of our Consciousness and Being. Reality has integrity, fantasy stands apart.

That is assuming our physical experience is a mental experience and what we think is physical is only in our mind. In that case we can't understand physical we can only attempt to understand it in a seemingly physical experience.

100 percent mental, perhaps if you consider all our perceptions to originate from our brain. But then physical would be a mental concept too, and it can thus be understood.

If you think that the physical manifestation of reality is an illusion then why do you continue to eat or drink?

Physical reality does exist and said reality of the same provides us with the reference by which and in which we interact with all else that exist.

If all of physical reality is an illusion then why would it matter if we acted so as to be of a beneficial nature to all else that exist or not?

In the duality of existence, there must be a physical, material reality for an non-material, spiritual reality to exist.

Perceptions and all that comes after that in the process of thinking is mental. But perceptions are caused by sensate experience, meaning our physical being have contact in one way, shape, or manner, with another physical object.

It is ONLY in this way that we know beyond the shaddow of a doubt, according to both "justified true belief" and the Correspondence Theory of Truth, that empirical reality exists.

Nothing is 100% mental. We have bodies. Our bodies exist in time and space. Therefore, we are physical beings. Thinking uses our physical bodies and brains. The chemical reactions in our brains are measurable. Even when you think, you are using your physical being.

...because we are corporal meaning we need "the physical" to stay alive...without it, none of the mental interpretations in life would exist within this plain of existence...the "spirit", however, is pure thought and/or energy...it is the basic cognitive glue of the universe and can perpetuate outside the physical shell...it is essence that has learned to cross over after death.
