If Liberals are against the crazy religious folks why did they vote for Obama?

Come on, Obama's church is mainstream....ha ha ha... How can an idiot like that get elected when attending a church where the pastor screams " G D America" over and over? How ignorant are the people that voted for this clown?

There is a difference between attending church and being a religious nut.

When you look at the basics of religion and what it stands for (be nice to each other, live good lives, don't judge, don't hate, etc) it's a good thing. If everyone was able to live by the basics of their religion, we'd have a gentler more peaceful world. However some people take it way to far.

If you can justify enslaving people by quoting the bible, or why it's ok to push hatred against another group because "god said so", you have problems. Anyone who tries to force their views on you using religion has missed the point entirely and should never be given a position of authority.

Reverend Wright is a crazy religious folk, but Liberals did not mind that Obama worshipped in his church for 15 years.

Everyone should be against 'crazy religious folks.' Most people do not fall into that category. Many politicians go to church because they have to get elected.

Difference between being a regular church goer, and being a crazy religious loon.

Obama goes to church because it is what the largest section of voters want. Its a way for people to affirm to themselves that a political figure is upright.

It isnt true, naturally, but its still the way things work.

Same reason liberals voted to ban use of federal dollars for abortion -- the ends justifies the means. They would have voted for Al Sharpton if he was running against a Republican -- and, frankly, Al Sharpton is somewhat less extreme than Reverend Wright who ran the church where Obama attended. Like communists, liberals are willing to look past the defects in their leaders and their policies in the name of making progress towards a Utopian ideal that has never existed and is inherently incompatible with immutable human nature.

They will commit greater acts of hipocracy before this presidency and this Dem controlled Congress is done.

Because Obama is not really a big time church person. Remember all the dopey ideas that his minister has?
