Is a 'saws all' the same as a reciprocating saw?

My husband wants one for Christmas and it would help if I knew what one was. lol

And what are good makes?

    Get one that has a quick change blade. Depending on how and where he is going to use it, consider a battery powered unit. Get some good blades for it too. Not the stuff they sell at harbor freight but some quality blades.

    They are the same thing.

    These are a few of the very good ones on the market today.

    Bosch, Craftsman , Dewalt

    They are the same. Sawzall is just the name brand. Stick to any good name and you will find a good saw

    Yes Sawzall is just a brand name. Milwaukee is a good one.

    millwalkie plug in for everday use dewalt rechargable for every now and then use or if he does work in places that dont have outlets

    same thing. ridgid makes a good one. comes with a carry bag.

    yeah milwaukee or porter cable or dewalt would be my brand choice
