Can anyone explain this Palin article to me?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica...
"Our representatives in Copenhagen should remember that good environmental policymaking is about weighing real-world costs and benefits – not pursuing a political agenda. That's not to say I deny the reality of some changes in climate – far from it. I saw the impact of changing weather patterns firsthand while serving as governor of our only Arctic state. I was one of the first governors to create a subcabinet to deal specifically with the issue and to recommend common-sense policies to respond to the coastal erosion, thawing permafrost and retreating sea ice that affect Alaska's communities and infrastructure."
She sees retreating sea ice and thawing permafrost but does not believe the earth is warming. Any explanation is welcomed, but prepare to be torn apart.

isn't oil tax up there extra of a royalties charge? Then the voters get reward in keeping with oil earnings? it incredibly is public possession of the oil fields, i think, while Exxon or Chevron might pay a house proprietor royalties in Texas, in Alaska the government gets the money regularly. i'm no longer helpful approximately that yet that's how I realize it. for my area Obama could overlook the oil taxes yet decrease out the oil corporation subsidies and cause them to conceal their own R& D and so on. That no longer basically expenses us money which could conceal different issues, it makes oil artificially low fee vis a vis production of cleanser fuels. The subsidies are what killed the hemp ethanol industry before as I realize it (then hemp replaced into made unlawful right here, driving a nail in that coffin.)

You must be much smarter than I. Where do you see the part about her saying the earth is not warming? She is talking about reacting to climate change instead of politicizing it. The Climate changes all the time.
If you are projecting that she does not buy the nonsense that any warming or cooling is man made, they you are correct but that is the distinction she is making by talking about the politicization of a natural phenomenon.

Some of us, Palin included, recognize that the earth is warming to a degree. I do not believe that humans have affected this change at all.

You need to do your homework...
Palin doesn't dispute climate changes (just take a look at her Facebook);
And, she believes environmental protection is a good thing, within the fiscal limits of reality.
However, she doesn't necessarily believe that climate change is a *man-made* (anthropogenic) process...

[recommend common-sense policies to respond to the coastal erosion, thawing permafrost and retreating sea ice that affect Alaska's communities and infrastructure."]
She turned up the air conditioner and opened the window.

It is futile to explain anything to someone who refuses to understand. However, in the spirit of futility, climate change is not necessarily man-made.

Sarah suffers from a condition known as ten-pounds-of-information-stuffed-into-a-five-pound-sack. She's able to memorize a few random phrases but not capable of formulating them into a cogent argument. Much like a parrot.

She is jumping on the over hyped "climate-gate" email release to justify denying the effects of human activity on climate change. Apparently, she was dragged kicking and screaming to support the "Country First" policy on cap and trade market based energy reform.

She thinks that the 'End of Times' will happen soon - so why bother with this long-term climate change nonsense.
It is God's will.
