How would you handle the smell of your son's business in his room which is stinking up the blankets and house?
It's stinking up the house and his blankets and the girls are getting grossed out (including me). When you walk by you can smell it. I think it's his morning business smells and I don't want to embarrass him. He's 18. I'm all for masturbation, but it's stinky in there.
He does his own laundry and has been living with dad for 3 years while I was out of state. Now he's living with me and I just don't know what to say....The cleaning part isn't an issue...Although my fuzzy blanket isn't mine anymore!

LOL Is he really not washing his sheets after doing that?? That's so gross...
Well, if I were you I'd just tell him he needs to wash himself and sheets after he's done or he'll never get a girlfriend.

first, tear holes in a garbage bag and put it on like a shirt. put on rubber gloves. don't forget protective goggles. (noseplug optional)
all set? ok.
first, open up the window. take a bottle of febreeze (the allergen reducer one smells the least and works the best) and spray it everywhere. really.
get some kitchen tongs and remove the sheets and pillowcases. put them in a hamper. DO NOT REMOVE PROTECTIVE GEAR YET.
take the sheets to the laundry room/ laundromat, which ever applies to you. place them in the washing machine, and set the water temperature as high as it can go. use a scent-free detergent, because it actually destroys the smell, instead of covering it. still, be on the safe side and wash the sheets twice.
meanwhile, collect comforter/quilt/duvet in the same way as the sheets were collected. wash them in the same way, too. with the mattress all empty, spray vigorously with febreeze.
protective gear may now be removed, and promptly thrown away. boil the tongs in a pot of water. meanwhile, take a shower. as hot as you can possibly stand.
dry the sheets and comforter/quilt/duvet. do not fold them. do not make his bed. try to leave them in the exact way you found them. or just present them to him and say "look honey. i washed your sheets"
good luck!!! haha

Time for a father son talk about cleaning up after himself.
if he cant call his frends home surprisingly and your son clean that for his friends
that was the key

Time for a father son talk about cleaning up after himself. At 18, the talk is overdue.

Spray Febreeze and Lysol. Tell him to not get it on the blankets and to throw away all napkins or tissues in the outside trashcan.

I'd tell him i noticed his room is stuffy and has to be freshened up...tell him it's time to learn how to wash bedding, open the window a crack and get out the fabreze.. maybe he could run the vacuum and dust while he's at it?

Either have his Father speak to him, or spray some very "girly" smelling perfume into the room....when he complains, tell him it smells better than what the room smelled like before

tell him he needs to wash his sheets. maybe when he is not home spray some fabreeze in his room. vacume his room. tell him he needs to do like a winter clean up.
