Who took the dog biscuits?
I just went to the closet shelf where I keep a number of dog biscuit packages (my dogs like variety in dog biscuits) and found something strange. A new bag of biscuits, the Target brand, was empty, a hole in the side of the plastic package. The remnants from the package were on the shelf. No other packages were disturbed. There were no "droppings." We have had no pest control problems that we know of. They are far out of the dog's reach. Anybody have an idea who stole the dog biscuits? (And please no lectures on the evils of store-brand dog biscuits - stay on topic.)

Sorry to inform you, rodents don't ALWAYS leave droppings. And if you do get poison to get rid of them, make sure it's out of reach of the dogs. Consider taping the bait package to the shelf to prevent it accidentally being knocked to the floor. And if you find one on the floor, put it where no other creature can get to the body.
I recommend something with Warfarin, it isn't as likely to kill if ingested by a pet, and the treatment is Vitamin K.

First of all, I would not give a dog a bowl of dog biscuits. You are going to make the dog over weight that way. And that would be the last thing that you want. I would feed him a nice crunchy kibble this is good for him. He comes up to you because he is seeking your approval. I think.
