My kitchen recessed lights stopped working?
I have recessed lights where one bulb was going on and off for the last 2 weeks. Now when I put the switch on non of the lights go on. I replaced the bad bulb still nothing. I checked the circuit breaker and it is on. Could the bad bulb have shorted the on/off switch or could it be something else? Tryng to fix without calling in an electrician. Thanks for any help.

I'm guessing that you are talking about small halogen lights (the type that get very hot).
It is very common to have the transformers go out on them, I have a friend that had 3 go bad in one year. In his case, they were under warranty. If yours is replaceable, see if you can get one a Home Depot. If that doesn't fix it, then you can always take it back.
The only other things that come to mind are a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker, or tripped GFCI outlet. Possibly a bad cord if it gets impacted or moved sometimes.
It's almost impossible that a bad bulb would make the others go bad too.

years ago we had a lot of fires cause by recessed lighting so the lighting industry was forced to put in extreme heat shut off relays in all these products to stop fires.
so that's your answer, your relays are bad, oh the cheaper the light fixture the more the lights go in and out
