I'm trying to conceive. Should I plan to go on a cruise in April?

So my fiancee and I have been trying to conceive for a few months with no luck. I don't want to stop trying because we can't wait to get pregnant! My 2 best friends asked us to go on a cruise with them and their husbands in April. We would pay for it in January. I think it would be so much fun and would love to go, but I'm hesitant because if we got pregnant between now and then I'm concerned about morning sickness on the ship. I don't want to pay $1500+ to be sick in a cabin for a week. Then again, we've been trying for months with no luck and the vacation does sound wonderful. Should we book it or not??

I'm 5 weeks and I am going on a cruise in april also. If you are pregnant by then you might be over morning sickness or not have any at all. I wouldn't change everything in your life yet...wait until you get your BFP first. Plus the boat doesn't rock and doubt that it will make you sick being on a boat. One more thing morning sickness usually only last a few hours so if you didn't feel good in the a.m you will probably be fine for the afternoon and evening...Good luck

  • I would personally go if I could afford it. Whatever happens, happens. I think you would have fun no matter what happens. My husband and I are planning on going on vacation with my family in June or July, even though I hopefully will be pregnant by then! In my opinion, you can't stop living just because you're TTC, but I do understand how you feel. It wouldn't be much of a vacation if you were sick the whole time!

I hope you get your BFP soon!

I say go for it. If you have morning sickness you will have it on or off of the cruise. Lol either way I think you should go. It will take your mind off of TTC and you never know you may just fall pregnant then. I know lots of people who took a nice vacay and forgot all about TTC and ended up pregnant then.

    Good Luck Hun!

Take some time for you and hubby.

Yes. If you DON'T get preggo before that, a vacay is the best thing for it! The hubbs and I got preggo on our anniversary trip to Mexico. It was just such a great, care-free time, and we were able to devote ALL our time to each other, having fun, and having...well, baby making. No work stress, no hosehold chores...just me and him, and FUN! We came home to a positive pregnancy test :)
