Did My Water Break?!!!?
Ok, So When I woke up this morning ( on my way to My doctors appointment) I walked to the Bathroom and Stood infront of the toilet...
Well, I dropped My pants and Before I could sit down, This Water Started to Come out (kinda Like I was Full out Peeing myself ) And I was Trying to Make it stop But It wouldnt stop, And It seemed Clear unlike my bright Yellow morning pee.
Anyways, It did that for a second, And i was Yelling at my Husband, "I cant make my pee stop!! "
Anyways, It Slowed down a Bit So I sat on The toilet (yes that all happened while i was standing infront of the toilet) and Peed. And It did seem different than the random Flow i just felt. It felt like that time I was actually peeing and Could make it stop if i wanted to.
Anyways, It stopped after that. So I went on to finish getting dressed for my appointment.
I told my doctor that I thought my water might have broke but then again I might have just peed myself. Well They didnt check to see if it broke, They just said It was probably pee cause That happens A lot. (but its never happened like that!) And At my last visit I was Dilated to a 2 But this time My doctor couldnt tell because He couldnt "Reach" my cervix. (a lady at L&D did it last time)
Anyways, What do you Think? Does It just Stop after it gushes out?
(Oh and I didnt have contractions while it was happening and Im 36 weeks)
Please Any help Is Appreciated!!

After your water breaks it'll keep leaking out until the baby is born. The fact that it stopped means it wasn't your water.

I'm really surprised they didn't check you. When I was 39 weeks...I kept having some leakage....I thought for sure my water had broken. It turned out the baby was pressing so hard on my bladder that urine was actually coming out and I wasn't able to control it. It would do this when I walked around and after I went to the bathroom...I would stop peeing and then like 5 minutes later another gush would come. I went to the hospital, they checked me, and told me that it can happen in pregnancy..especially around that time. 3 days later my water really did break...I was lying in bed and I just felt like a trickle of water come out...I just jumped up...and when I got up...a lot more came out. I went to the bathroom and it was fluid for sure....when I wiped..it wa clear with like a pink tint to it and didn't really have much of an odor...I could see the pink tint of the fluid on the sanitary pad. It continues to leak once it breaks. I really didn't have a constant leak though, it was like I would walk around and I could feel it every now and then, but it continued to do that all through labor until I had my daughter. I hope this helps. Good luck and Congrats. If you are really concerned...you could go to the labor and delivery unit and be checked...if you call and tell them you think it broke, they will usually have you come in anyway...it may be safe to go just to be on the safe side.

mine broke just like that, but when i stood up from "really" peeing i gushed again, so i sat back down thinking i wasnt done peeing, but i couldnt pee, so i stood up and gushed again,
i then had a off again on again pretty near all the time trickle, that got worst it i sat then got up, or layed down and got up...
so if thats happeneing id go to the L&D, if not i wouldnt worry about it...
this PG (my second) i have had 2 time where i DID pee myself but i could tell i was peeing i just couldnt stop...
so i would just for my own mind get checked

once you're in water, getting showered or bath you won't understand suited whilst your water breaks. yet once you get out you will. it is going to proceed to leak and spill out til the toddler comes. you are able to bleed slightly too, and would experience contractions drawing near. i does not worry approximately it. you will understand whether it happens contained in the bathe you would be waiting to tell after. i does not circulate swimming. it may reason an infection in case you're dialating. medical doctors many times dont recommend that. additionally, once you get your membranes stripped do a great kind of walking. Stripping membranes dont constantly paintings. they might would desire to do it returned at a destiny appt. If the toddler isn't waiting the toddler wont come. yet walking facilitates, a great kind of walking. you additionally can attempt raspberry leaf tea. Dont attempt castor oil, it dont constantly paintings and it could make the toddler have a bowel stream in utero. stable success.

Your doctor should have tested your fluid with a strip of purple tab paper they have to determine if your water had broken. Sounds like it did to me. Just sit back and wait for the pains. If your water has broken you do not need to do alot of walking around because that can cause bacteria to go up into where the baby is. So sit and relax.

A woman's water can break without them having contractions. I'd go to L&D and have them check. If you wait, your baby could come down with an infection. Good luck

Water doesn't have to full out gush or continually leak to be broken. You may be leaking water. If you put a pad on and it gets wet after about an hour or two, it's most likely your water. congrats.

Well I'm surprised they didn't use a test strip to see if it was amniotic fluid because thats how they check it, with a little strip and it turns color if it's amniotic fluid, if it happens again i would go to the ER

You need to go back and get checked. If that was your water breaking, you need to deliver within 24 hours.
Good luck!

I think i'd get a 2nd opinion. Esp since they didn't check. watch out for contractions and don't take any baths.
