Why do fat girls always go goth?

Probably the same reason other people go goth. I've been fat and thin. And goth at both sides! I like the music, I like the aesthetics, I like the people.... It's a win for me all around and I've made really good friends and had a really good time. Maybe you're noticing the fatter ones more because the thin ones typically dress in Hot Topic wear (which is worn by emo people too) and tend to be more mainstream while the bigger girls have to hand-make their own clothes to get them the right size, hence more creative and has a little individual flair to it. And if you notice more people, you'll see more "fat girls" tend to dress preppier to try and fit in than try to stand out. You tend to have to be confident in yourself to stand out.

Not all fat girls are goth. That's a terrible sterotype. Also, does that mean to say that thin girls can't go goth? Honestly. I've seen many more thin and normal sized goth girls that fat ones.
