Fellow Americans:when will you get off from your high horses,& admit we 'need the world' but they dont need us?

Even when most of Europe is against our invasions, we are the only ones with any 'morality'. Like, we want to be doing 'good' to the world because we're so pious. Save it. My fellow Americans need to cut the act, and stop being so righteous. The rest of the world doesn't want us invading their countries, and have been calling out all the time saying they don't need us. On the other hand, we want to keep 'helping them' because we are so righteous. Sickening. Can't believe my fellow Americans are so thick.

It's not about morality, its not about terrorism, its about becoming a regional leader. The war on Iraq, and the one in Pakistan has nothing to do with 9/11. The leaders of the Middle East are already puppets to us, so we don't need to invade them. Countries like Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran however were different. They retaliated. Iran for gas pipelines, Afghanistan for minerals and poppies, Iraq and Pakistan for oil: we are terribly short of energy resources in our country, so we are looking for alternative ones. We also love waging wars because we are heavily dependent on our military industry to prosper to keep our economy afloat: we need to keep selling weapons.

I think that many non-Americans, such as myself see America as 'The playground bully', with an attitude that if they want something another country has they will just take it. It is strange (maybe just that Birds of a feather flock together) but the Americans I know are not proud of this fact and see only too starkly that they are a bullying nation. The longer it goes on, the more aware I am, the more I understand someone from a poor country behaving in an abominable way out of desperation because the only alternative would be to roll over and let America take what ever mineral wealth it wants. Would I rebel if another country was at war with mine and wouldn't leave? Probably.

In fairness I must say that although I see the behavior in the media and encounter many xenophobic, right wing Americans here, I know non in real life and the Americans I do know think similarly to me, I am proud to be of their acquaintance.

    Thanks for a great question.

Source(s): Edit: Debbie 22 You say 2 "But our wise fathers have decided to use up the oil in other parts of the world before touching ours." You seem proud of that, I think I would feel such woeful shame if I was in that position. That's like taking food from the hungry whilst your pantry is full, how disgusting and selfish, pure shameful so horrfyingly gruesome and cruel. You have a cold, cold selfish heart.

Well I tell you what, you start the revolution that's going to take down the Gov't that has done all those things and we'll be right behind you. As I recall, no one asked me if I wanted this country to go to war or to stick our collective nose into other nations business'. Did YOU get a call from the gov't asking you if you wanted those things to happen? Do you get to pick which countries we sell our military weapons too? You know, those military weapons we probably don't have a clue our own gov't has?

I can understand wanting to open people's eyes. I see a lot of stuff that annoys the hell outta me too. But, for the most part, what you are blaming on the general public doesn't really have much to do with the publics opinion on the matter (no matter what the media might tell you). Ever notice how much "Reality TV" looks like "News"? It's easy to put the blinders on and not see the problem. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's not our fault at all. We vote those people in... but "those people" have been in there longer than I've been alive (I'm 39). Voting is not going to stop it.

You seem to conveniently ignore the billions in aid we give to other countries. You seem to conveniently ignore those countries that now enjoy freedom at the expense of our dead soldiers. If there is a "need" we have from other countries, it is only because those on the left want it so. Example...Oil. We have all we will ever need, but aren't allowed access. You are rather simple minded in your approach to world diplomacy. We are still a superpower, and the world does rely on us. In many ways.

If you don't like what America is doing, why not do like they did during Vietnam, Go to Canada, BTW we did not ask for 9/11 neither will we run from it, Now you claim we need the world & the world don't need us, Let me say this, then the next time a major disaster hits another country you tell those countries not to bother calling on the USA, call someone else, Little do you know, who gets called first, Opps Yes the USA, I don't need another country you do, The only other country I support is Israel, So forget it by trying to feed me hogwash, friend I am much older then you are & I have been around longer, & I know who gets called on first, Why did all these other nation waited until we announced how many more soilders we were going to commit to the war In Afghanistan This is suppose to be their war also, Remember the UN

It's too late. We have already been relegated to the status of a poor relation in the NWO. America will have no significant role in the 21st Century (once it actually begins!).

    You have it all wrong.

The world depends on us to feed them and export goods to them.

Their economy thrives off of the oil we purchase.

But most don't know that America has enough oil saved for over 100 years and has just found oil under the Dakotas to surpass all the oil in the middle east.

But our wise fathers have decided to use up the oil in other parts of the world before touching ours.

And in the meantime have engines that run off of water and electricity....even cooking oil and garbage.

If you were a wise person you would leave the politics to the politicians and start worrying about what God has planned for the near future.

Soon their won't be any divisions in nations or states...everything will be under God's rule.

But before that happens he must clean house.

    Who will survive?

Only a bible study will allow you to have that knowledge.

What the world needs is good moral strong leadership. Not the corrupt, self absorbed narcissist dictators that run the rest of the world. America was once that country. It was good because it's heart was good. It's heart was good because we looked to emulate Jesus and didn't need laws from the government to rule us. We did right because it was right. The rest of the world saw this and wanted it. They risked their lives to come here. I worry for future generations, the anchor that once kept freedom from sliding into tyranny has been cut free. The US is drifting like the rest of the world.

I'm guessing you're in high school.

Your understanding of economics is lacking. We are the largest economy on the planet. If our economy goes down, we take much of the world with us. In that respect, the rest of the world does indeed need us to prosper.
