can I exchange a Haynes repair manual?

Hello I was given a brand new Haynes repair manual by a friend at work, Its in its plastic wrap unopened .He didnt need it and he lost the reciept so I was wondering can I return it to autozone and exchange it for one for my car ? His car is totally different from mine so any Ideas?

    Don't bet the house on it. AutoZone wants a receipt for ALL returns/exchanges.

    They can probably look up the sale by his phone number if he has one of those autozone cards. Call autozone to see what they think about it. Hmmm. Is it for a 2010 Corolla? I could use one of those.
