In the event of the rapture, what would be the atheist response?
For atheists this is a hypothetical scenario.
I have noticed that most atheists are opposed to micro chip technology in humans and they are also a group that has some understanding of the bible. If a one world government would cease control and want to tag humans, will atheists resist? believe? be saved during the tribulation?
Edit:
The chip would be evidence - that is the link. Optional until the rapture and forced after is the mainsteam Christian view.
"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666" (Rev. 13:16-18).

I don't know who Alex Jones is and you are quite correct about the spelling error.
<< 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 >>
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

The majority of atheists that I know (including myself) are atheists because there is no empirical evidence for any higher power. There are various texts that claim the existence of a god - but the only evidence they give is "we're right because we're right."
I'm pretty sure that if the rapture ACTUALLY started happening, that would qualify as "overwhelming empirical evidence for the existence of god." And we'd all "believe." (I put believe in quotations because belief implies faith, and our "belief" would be founded purely on the proof before our eyes.)

I actually think this is an interesting question. The "rapture" is not actually biblical. The theory was woven from a few obscure verses by a certain Irish minister. I'm afraid that, should the biblical tribulation occur, the "born again" will be right here with the rest of us. Now, as far as resistance goes, I think it is the responsibility of all free people to prevent "one world government" or even the over-imposing of our own government. We've already blown one, by standing aside and allowing our government to pass the US patriot act. What's next?

What have the two got to do with each other? I would be opposed to people being tagged, and to any government weather a world one or not, which was not democratic.
If the rapture happened, I suppose all us non-believers and non-christians would be left to sort out the world without any help from the christians who had left to go to their higher plain:) :)

First off, I will say that I'm Agnostic and not Atheist. Secondly, I'm not quite understanding your question and it's relevance. What does an atheist's beliefs VS. any other belief have anything to do with RFID chips? Hypothetically, if something like that did happen, it wouldn't matter what religion you are, if the government wanted you to be tagged badly enough then you will be tagged unless you do resist. Personally I would resist and join a movement to hopefully not be tagged. Who the %$#^ wants to have a chip implanted which could easily be hacked into and used for other purposes which will most likely have a bad outcome for you.

Eternal Earthbound Pets representatives would do what they said they would.
Aside from that we'd probably try to find a way to defeat the evil Christian god.

I entertain coherent hypothetical scenarios. No offense, but the stuff Alex Jones spouts out like a volcano of feces just isn't worth the effort.
And I think you meant "seize" not "cease."
Cheers.

They may believe aliens took us; but either way, Satan will convince them of a lie, because he is the father of lies. I believe the Antichrist will convince atheists that he is God, because he will do lying signs and wonders, just what they are asking us Christians to provide them as evidence that God is real. They are setting themselves up to be deceived by believing there is no God because of a lack of proof. They will be given over to strong delusion during the tribulation to believe the lies that Satan will show them through the Antichrist. Jesus said I came in My Father's name, and you didn't believe Me. One will come in his own name, him you will believe ( John 5:43 ).

i will die before i am "tagged" and i will resist religion to the end even though i believe that something is out there, and if the rapture that religion describes actually happens then my response would be "holy ****, they were right, but there god did a poor job of showing they were right".
