Why are Catholic universities better than Evangelical universities?
It's no secret that Oral Roberts and Liberty University are mediocre schools (even below mediocre). But my question is why are Catholic universities better on every scale than Oral Roberts or Liberty University? They're all Christian and founded with principles deriving from their religion but the difference is obvious.
Notre Dame (Catholic) selective school
Georgetown (Catholic) a top school
Boston College (Catholic) also selective and a top school
And there are many more in the Northeast which are all accredited, have selective requirements for applicants, graduates get good jobs within recent months. Why the difference?
Pastor Art, just check collegeboard.com anyone can see it. Oral Roberts and Liberty University are 4-tier schools which means they are at the bottom.

Evangelical colleges are less selective, have lower SAT scores
So you can see here Pastor Art and anyone else who doubts me that academically speaking evangelical schools are simply horrible institutions.
Catholic Universities are much more selective, have higher SAT scores for admissions, are Tier 1 mostly meaning they are on the same level with many Ivy league schools
Boats, I'm at a catholic university and my experience has been good. The facts show it. Otherwise how did they managed to obtain such a high level?
I'm talking about Catholic Universities not schools. All religious primary schools are a nightmare.

It's because their FOCUS isn't on religion. When all is said and done, the three Catholic universities you mention are renown for their scholarship, not their faith. While they offer courses in religions, they are highly regarded for the quality of their academics in MANY areas, and prize critical thinking like any other respected academic institution.

Who says they are? I really can't make a honest statement about universities, but I sure can give eye witness accounts of the two schools at the 1 to 12 yr.level.I went to both in my youth.I was in a Catholic boarding school up to the 4Th grade,I would liken it to a concentration camp, where the children were treated cruelly and education was mostly about Catholicism. From there I spent the rest of my education in the Missouri synod Lutheran school (thank you Lord)I was educated in religion, but also in the three R's.At the time I entered this school I could barely read.I will forever thank Principal Herman Meyerhoff and his staff of teachers for the bulk of my education.

The Catholic Universities take their educational mission seriously enough that they won't let their ideology get in the way of their teaching. The impression I get, particularly regarding Liberty University, is that the focus is specifically on advancing their agenda and have no problems teaching nonsense if it fits their ideology.
It's interesting to note that even before Falwell died there seems to be indications that attempts to expand the university were eroding their stand on teaching certain patent falsities, and now that Falwell is dead efforts to become more of a legitimate educational institution might slowly progress.

Indeed, they are evangelastic, snap back or break before enduring to the end.
However, same can be said for Fools and Hypocrites who sit in Moses' Seat.
Such like are greater, but notably receive the "greater damnation" for it: Mt 23.
Not to mention Romans 2's "inexcusable": no accuse & excuse allowed. Selah.

they offer better education than evangelical universities. they're better funded than evangelical schools which means better teachers and better courses. i think that also catholic universities were run by religious orders, and i think still are, so there's a major emphasis on learning and being scholars.

That, and the quality of education is better. Most of the educators at these schools themselves have multiple degrees, including the sciences.

Evangelical schools teach that science is a big conspiracy of atheists out to remove god from the public sphere and send society plunging towards a future rife with premarital sex, gay marriage and abortions. It's not hard to see why they aren't the best schools in the world.

With Catholics, education comes first.
