Can cookies get on my computer if I haven't been to their site?

HI, I was wondering if three cookies from a site could end up on my computer if I have never visited that site. I know for sure I haven't been there and I would blame the boyfriend except he hasn't been at my parents house for 2weeks. (it's my home computer) The cookies are from a porn site and I didn't go there. The cookies are deleted every few days by me so I know what's there.

Is this possible? Where did the cookies come from?

Could someone else have used the computer?

Update:

I did check the date. My boyfriend wasn't here anywhere close to those dates. Other people have been at my house though.

Some one might have used the computer for the porn activity and left it without deleting the cookies, there is no other chance the computer would get the cookies.

Source(s): www.9computerstore.com and www.hightechideas.com is the latest website among the laptops and advanced computer.

from my understanding cookies are automatically stored in a folder, when you visit a site, so it makes it quicker to access this site later on. So no, it cant get there on its own. Have u checked the dates in the cookies folder?
