Do you agree with the Hillbilly Report that Republicans haven't fooled as many people as they think?
With the state of the economy and the healthcare fight, Republicans all over the airwaves see themselves as poised to make huge gains in the House and Senate late next year in the mid-term elections. However, here in the real world, a place that seemingly does not exist in the Republican mindset the numbers may tell a different story.
While President Obama and the Congress have lost some of their shine and popularity, it appears as if the American people simply despise the Republican Party, their leaders and tactics.

Obama was elected into the White House because the GOP did not want a Republican to win the 2008 elections. They are fully aware of the mess left by the Bush/Cheney administration and they know how expensive and time consuming it is going to be to fix the problems. Whoever moved into the White House in 2009 would be working with a Democratic controlled senate and they would need to make very unpopular decisions and pay off the ungodly bills the Bush bunch had run up. The GOP set themselves up for a loss by moving McCain from the back of the crowd (he was almost ready to dop out one day and at the head of the pack the next day) and selecting Palin as his VP. They knew the two would never get elected. Their plan is to let the Democrats run the show for two years making all the unpopular decisions and paying off big bills to fix the economy, labor and financial mess. During the two years the GOP will do everything they can to discredit Obama and the Democrats so in 2010 they can take over the senate, spend the next two years working to see that Obama fails and in 2012 they will get a Republican elected. This is all at the cost of our taxes, America's credibility, quality of life, and global reputation.

So many intelligent responses. Wow, I am amazed. Hmm, lets see, who was it again that totally crashed our economy off a cliff and conviently bailed out the bankers before leaving town in disgrace?? Who is it that enacted the current terrorist prevention system and convinced us that giving up generations of Constitutional Protections with Patriot and FISA would make us all comfy, cozy and safe?? Why did FISA and Patriot fail so miserably if they were such good things?? Because they were enacted by the worst Administration in American History. An administration that allowed the worst attack ever on American soil and produced failure after failure afterwards.
Read our site and you will see I am no Obama apolegist. However, he inherited an economy spiraling into Depression and has at least stopped the hemmoraging. He had been working with Yemen since last summer trying to upend the problems there. It kills me to see you folks calling him "liberal". On our side we are mad at him because he simply is not Progressive enough. Many of us want to get serious and force many of our initiatives down your throats like Bush did us and actually have a middle-class in this country and quit spending trillions of dollars blowing up and re-building other countries.
The problem with both parties now is too many of them are bought and paid for. In case you did not notice the idiocy of the tea-bag approach was tried for a decade and failed utterly and completely because it is lunacy. We will just see how it pans out. Have a nice day!!!

If I gave you a link from a Tea Party or 9-12 group, would you take is seriously or consider it to be such a biased source that it wasb't worthy of your consideration.
Well, that is what I feel about a site that looks up to the Daily Kos.

I would think America would be far better served if Secretary of State Clinton would get to the bottom of why the State Department allowed this particular terrorist, that was on a watch list, to still have a travel visa. How many more are there?
