Do you support installing "whole-body security scanners" in airports?
It is like a virtual strip search. The flaw with this system is that it gives body parts in high clarity. In other words, to the person behind the computer, you would be naked.
Safeguards? This person viewing your full body scan will be in another room, and will never get to see you in person.
Possible Problems? There are cameras within the airport. Hypothetically, One can see the time of the image taken, and then view the video taken at that time. The video clip, and the image can then be placed online, for millions to view.
Hm... For the sake of security, I support it. I'd rather risk my privacy, then my safety.
How about you?

The view only shows the body and does not give details of the face or clothing and even an expert would probably fail to match that image to a person later seen in real life!!
People who refuse to use this system can be patted down in a personal search at present but the reality is that people who refuse the scanner should be taken to a private room and strip searched!!
This is all about stopping several hundred people or more at a time getting killed. Personally I feel anyone not prepared to do what is necessary for everyone's safety should be banned from flying!!

You have to remember the whole body scanners do not allow for picture taking, video making, once the image is gone, its gone. They've also invented a newer style of body scanners and they are monitored by a computer that will alert a human if they find something suspicious to whatever area they found something on. This to me is better because i would rather a computer look at my profile then a human. But I question how effective the computer would be at detecting these 'suspicious' things The other thing they've brought out, is software that will blurr your face so they dont know what you look like. The other thing they might implement is that the person who sees your profile is in a separate inclosed room and they never get to see the actual human to go with the profile I would rather go through 20 seconds of the profile then die an early death. After all, women have to go through that kind of thing once a year for a pap test, why is this any different?

which would you rather have? Some minimum wage @sshole putting on a rubber glove and giving you a full cavity search or someone taking a picture of your junk with some bullshit hitech spy camera?

Well whats the alternative? Not allow Arabs and Muslims to enter airports?

It's far better than the line required to cavity search everyone... and the horrible job of the people with the KY jelly.

If they want to see my naked glory, then by all means they should.
However, I cherish road trips with a passion. So scan away, airport security. Scan away.

I support people asking topically relevant questions in appropriate forums on Y!A.
Source(s): Topicality. A concept ignored by self-important people drawn to the high volume of traffic on the R&S board since Dog-knows-when. - iTeapotLv 61 decade ago
I support it. Yes, having people be able to see through your clothes is unsettling.
You know what's more unsettling? Underwear bombs.
