Can you give a one year old soy milk?

I know usually you give a one year old whole milk, but we have a lot of left over formula from WIC and I don't want it to go to waste, so I was thinking of giving her the formula and some soy milk (since it doesn't go bad as quickly as regular whole milk). I will ask my doctor at her apointment on the 13th, but do you think that is nutritionally sound? What if I was just giving the soy milk and no formula? What if just the formula?

I don't think either would be bad. My doctor told me if my son couldn't handle whole milk to do the soy milk or lactose free (my sister has to use those because her children can't handle dairy). So I doubt it'd be a problem.

Sure, I have been giving my twins Soya Milk since they were a year old since dairy products made one of them hyper and the other had really runny nappies. i never give them cows milk as a drink, just little amounts in cooked foods etc. I use a nutritionally complete soya formula powder. They do fine!
