What is the better game console, XBOX 360, or PS3?

Xbox 360 in my opinion, here's why

1. Reliability: Gonna have to say PS3 on this one. PS3s can fail, but not as often as the 360. That being said, the 360's RROD is fixed for free regardless of having warranty or not.

2.Online: PS3 is free online, and Xbox isn't. Live membership is only $50 a year, but trust me, Live is better. PSN there are virtually no people with mics, and there are about half as many people on PSN as there are on Live. Not to mention that Live gets a lot of exlcusive add-ons for games and they usually get map packs before PSN does.

3. Modding: PS3 has absolutely no modding whatsoever. 360 kicks its *** right here.

MW2 and Resident Evil 5 are the most noticable.

360 is winner in my opinion, but after you get a 360 and a couple of good games, I'd get around to getting a PS3. I enjoy playing PS3 exclusives, but when it comes down to a multi-platform game I usually go with the 360 version.

Oh, and just to let you know Dino B is obviously a PS3 fanboy trying to pretend he has a 360 so he doesn't seemed biased.

Look mate Don't listen to any of the others coz they're gonna complain and get pissy about which one is better the truth is there is only one way you decide which one is better... and tht is by preference The PS3: has superior graphics to the xbox 360 and with the Blu-Ray discs that can hold up to 50GB of memory on a single sided disc which means bigger games and more detailed graphics. Plus you get to have a Games console AND a Blu-Ray Player which I must say is worth while. The Xbox 360: Although not being able to keep up with Sony's Blu-Ray Disc Capabilities, I surely makes up for in online features. The online features are Downloadable Games (Arcade, Community, Demo, Retro, Retail), Online Play (The online play on the xbox 360 is amazing and people don't give it enough credit), Avatars (Avatar Store, Avatar Rewards), Facebook, Twitter, FM Radio (its not exactly radio but you can pick an artist and the first song will be of tht artist and the rest will be similar artists... its mainly for finding new artists with the same sound as your favourite), Sky Player and a Weekly feed (of updates on new games, strategies, FAQ's) I have both, so i can give you an honest answer PS3: Flashy, Detailed, Best For Graphics and 100% Smooth Running Games Xbox 360: Simple, Straight to the point, Best for Online Play Both for fun Think of it this way... Xbox 360: P.C PS3: Mac Most people would get the Mac/Ps3 if they could afford it because it is stylish, but since they can't they stick with the P.C/Xbox 360

Reliability - I have had one xbox 360 is 4 years and only got the RROD once .. I had a ps3 for a month and I got the yellow light of death in 2 weeks

Online - Ps3 is free to play online but the service is wack compared the the 360 .. 360 gets more updates faster service and better service.. you know how the saying goes - you get what you payed for

Hardware - I dont know but to be honest PS3 has better graphics than the 360 by a lot the graphics are much sharper even without a HD tv

I own both the xbox 360 and PS3 and honestly only play games on the 360 but for me the main reason is the 360 controller feel. IMO the PS3 also suffers from some longer mid game loading delays than I noticed with the 360. Graphics on both consoles are amazing. I also think that Xbox 360 has a much better online experience than the PS3.

I'll say this on the 360 red ring of death. I had this happen on two consoles. One was replaced while under warranty, the other just happened in June this past year so I purchased another one with the new Jasper chip. New one runs much quieter than the older models - doesn't sound like the unit is going to explode when the disc starts spinning.

well the xbox 360 does get the red rings a few times, but i've had one sense it's been out and only gotten the red rings two times, plus microsoft fixes the red rings for free even if your warranty is out and it really doesn't take long for them to fix it and ship it back to you. Online play is 50 dollars a year but it's the best online community out their, more people have xbox live then online with the PS3 and Wii. The xbox 360 can be modded. I think the 360 is a much better console all around, everybody that has a PS3 has told me they regret buying the thing, but i'm sure their are a lot of people who like and enjoy their PS3. But for me when it comes to consoles its all about the exclusive titles and online community and i'm a huge fan of halo and the gears series.

i have both and i like the ps3 better b/c if u dont have money to go out and buy the xbox online on the ps3 its free online!Also Ps3 has 60 gb-220 gb.And the ps3 has ps home and u can dress up yr character and walk and dance and play mini games and talk to people and shop!

Ps3 is free to play online dont listen to the BS about live being so much better i have friends on my ps3 but none on my 360 live, also i no longer own any games for my 360 they all where disapoininting Gears, halo, you name it it disapointed compared to the hype. as for exclusive content its not staying exclusive for that long microsoft can only grease so many palms for so long until the developers decide they want to have confidence in their game and make it availabel for both consoles

dont know if your talking about games or what but no you cant mod games on your ps3, but you can modify your consoles hard drive so it has more hard drive, you can use any computer hard drive. Uses flash drives to so ps3 can also take any computer infro, you can also run operating systems on your ps3 like windows and other things you really can do quite a bit on your ps3 Xbox can do it sort of but its INFANITLY more dificult to do

Hard ware specs are close to the same if some one says anything about graphics its really close to the same ps3 can do more and has more future potentiol graphicly then the 360 does.

overall the consoles are relativley the same but the big diffrences are the games 360 has alot of exclusive games but only a handfull of good ones and you have herd of them ALL

Ps3 has alot and you probably havent herd of them things like infamous, uncharted, metal gear solid 4.
