I had fairly bad pimples and I bought Proactiv. For Proactiv to work you have to be a dedicated user.

I have been using it for a year now and I have noticed an improved complexion. You have to understand though that there is no cure for acne or pimples you can only prevent it(which does take consistent effort). I still get bad break outs every now and then but I must say it's better than before I started using proactive. You have to cleanse twice daily (morning and evening) using the renewing cleanser as well as tone afterwards using the revitalising toner. But since my skin type is extremely oily I only moisturise in the evening. Proactiv worked much more effectively than the other products that I bought from the store that wasted my time and money since it didn't work for me. Proactiv maybe expensive but it works much more effectively than the cheaper products and lasts a while (a bottle lasts approx. 3 months for me) therefore I find that my money gets its better value. The standard pack is something like $69.95 including the cleanser, toner and moisturiser which is all I use and if you were to buy the other products from a store it would add up to be that much anyway and it probably wouldn't work as well. I think it may depend on your skin type though coz my sister tried it and it resulted in dry irritated skin whereas it works great for me.

I don't entirely rely on it to clear my skin though, I also have to eat healthy and drink plenty of water (the Proactiv pack also comes with a ‘face the facts’ book containing vital info you may need to know to help improve your skin) as my skin is still fluctuating which results in the natural outcomes of breakouts. Overall, I think Proactiv is good and is definitely worth trying.

honestly i dont know if i would recommend proactive.

ive been using it for around 5 years though- it controls my acne but i still get some breakout and i have some big pores. the thing about clinique is its toner is really harsh. proactive is cheaper but alot of people havent had a good experience with proactive. i think it works for me because i use every step of it consistently and dry my face before applying the cleanser. :D

im sticking to it.. but most ppl hate it

I recommend Proactive,I have been using it for a couple of years now and my skin is clear

If you do decide to use Proactive you should know that it is a very strong but effective cleanser. since it cleans so deep, the first two weeks of use may cause you to break out even more - This also occurs if you go to a Dermatologist and get your pores flushed clean. its natural - but further use will clear it up and from there on out you will most likely rarely break out.

This is only my opinion but im satisfied with the product.
