I cant take it anymore!!?
After extensive research I have learned that Christmas is not a Christian tradition or holiday but it is a Pagan Tradition. The holiday Christmas has no links to Jesus Christ at all whatsoever. The bible says to Cry loudly, do not hold back; Raise your voice like a trumpet, and declare to my people their transgression. So I told my best friend, who is a very commited member of her church and I told my sister-in-law. Well my goodness. They both became so mad at me. Both conversations grew into arguments. I cant understand why everyone gets so upset about something that is so plainly written. Why does everyone get mad and should I even continue say anything to anybody. Im just trying to help them out.

I praise you and lift your name to God. That he will continue to give you strength, open your eyes, and help you to minister to those who are still blinded and not know Gods word.
Last year was the first year I didn't celebrate Christmas myself. It was a bit strange. This year I did the same and it was wonderful! I know it's not the birth of Christ. That's been proven time and again.
People are so indoctrinated with beliefs from a religion instead of beliefs from the bible, from God's word. Jeremiah 10:3-4 you can show them they are doing wrong by having christmas trees in their homes. If you think about the position most people are in when placing presents under the tree your on your knees bowing to it. The Christmas tree is an alter to the God Mirtha ( or Tamuth in the bible, son of Nimrod and his mother)
People don't want to correct what they are doing wrong. They want the feel good stuff and to heck with the rest of it. It's like brownies made with a little bit of dog doo, no mater what you do to those brownies the dog doo is still in it and you can't take the good from the bad. it all goes together.
Those who are true followers of Christ will be persecuted for their beliefs. Reality says that, Believers will not be the most loved people on this earth John 15:18-19
We need to count on a mixed response to what were witness John 15:20 ( remember these are only two people you have come in contact with. Not all of us are that way)
Jesus reveals our sinful nature. John 15:22-23
Jesus destroys our excuses. John 15:24-25
Jesus promises our success John15:26-27
Expect opposition. John 16:1-4
Some are ostracized
Some will be killed an are.
All are misunderstood
Fortify your faith.
We have been encouraged John 16:1
We have been warned. John 16:4
True believers in Christ the King, will not so much fight but question and research! Rememberr just because they do it doesn't mean you have to. I've actually requested people hold their " Christmas" gifts for another time and give them to me for my birthday and anniversary with my husband. Stand strong and Stand in the faith of Christ

Perhaps it is the way you presented the truth, not in love but righteous indignation. I don't know, I wasn't there.
I do not observe Christmas other than just another paid day off. The lies of it are something I don't want to repeat. I have had similar conversations with others, but they don't end up in arguments and anger. I do have to remind those that ask me what I want for Christmas that I do not exchange gifts solely because it is "the holidays." If I saw that someone needed something, or I wanted to give a gift out of love, I would do it then, not wait till the end of the calendar year to do so.
At the same time, I am not out acting the part of Scrooge. I do not go out of my way and ruin the holiday for others. If someone tells me "Merry Christmas" I respond back "Merry Christmas" as well. If I receive a gift, I am thankful and accept it. ("it is more blessed to give than receive" and someone has to receive in order to be blessed by the giving)
Christmas time is a merry time, with all the lights and colors and I enjoy that part of it.

I'm a Christian & I told people from right here in this yahoo Q's page, room whichever That Christmas & Easter are pagan holidays. There one day that Lord tells us to honor annually, & I'm so tired I can't remember which one it is, so I will put them out here, someone will look them up and share the correct one with us, I'm sure, the 2 are (1) passover.........(2) the day of Pentecostal. But my sisters & brothers in Christ wants to follow tradition, I even spoke briefly on that, I don't follow tradition, reason being Jesus warn against tradition, but then maybe they don't hear me is because I'm a Christian, liberal on somethings,Conservative on somethings, in other words I'm a follower, of my Lord & Savior

I love Christmas. It's a holiday. For some people it's a religious holiday but for a lot of other people it's just a holiday. It's the one thing each year that never fails to reunite my family. It's the time of year when most of my family who don't get to see each other all year get to see each other, or at least exchange gifts and telephone calls. I don't care how other people celebrate, or don't celebrate Christmas, that's their business. I'll celebrate the holiday whatever way I want to celebrate it, I just wish other people would just do the same and not make it into yet another reason for disharmony. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to get my own rant off about it... Merry Christmas 2010!

Indeed, but "trumpet" sounding is law speaking,
not to mention it utters an uncertain sound;
and "the last trump" is not law, but grace,
which is "gentle", and not hard to swallow
You sound like chicken little: Joel:
sound the alarm, awake the king,
the kingdom is under attack,
from a shadow (law: ghost)
Try Galatians 4:9-11 for those
who observe days, and months, and times, and years;
And notice the consequence in Galatians 5:4 to YOU,
if you continue law-ing instead of grace-ing people.
Read Romans 2:1 to see how "inexcusable" your behaviour is
Try being more grace us, and mercy full, and peace full; and
just maybe someone might think you sane, instead of law law

There are a lot of people who have grown up believing the teachings of "tradition" and thus, it may prove to be difficult for them to let go of those traditions and see the truth. I do have to commend you though, for realizing that not all holidays and church teachings are true. If you want to know the truth, it's best to go straight to the source of what God says, the Bible. Don't rely on what man tells you, especially about God and his teachings.

You are learning the truth and Satan hates that. He will try to turn your family, friends against you. Sometimes he does. But having the truth and having Jehovah God and his son Jesus is the only way to go. Don't worry about those who get upset. You are fantastic my friend.

The truth hurts. Look further. Easter is a pagan tradition too as well as all the other previous religious ideas and events Christianity stole from.

There are plenty of books on it. I would just tell them to check out so and so book. That will help avoid arguments and if the info comes from some impersonal source, they may feel differently anyway.
In an indirect way, your telling them probably felt like an 'attack' from a friend/family member.

Aside from the "family feeling" of Christmas that many people have, and the fact that NO ONE likes being told they are wrong/their beliefs are wrong, it seems to LARGELY be about the Presents ...
