Travel in and out of Heathrow Airport?

Hello,

I am traveling to Munich this spring and will be using British Airways. I will stop once in Heathrow airport.

The last time I went I nearly missed my connection flight. We spent maybe 45 minutes waiting to get off the plane and another 30-45 minutes waiting to take off.

I know there is a new terminal there but also it is one of the busiest airports in the world. My question to fellow travelers is, has the length of time there improved any? Especially for British Airways?

Thanks in advance.

Allegedly things have improved with the automated baggage handling system at T5 but British Airways aka BA haven't lost their "Baggage Anywhere" tag yet. They will leave without the passenger or the luggage. I had a BA flight from LA to Heathrow once and they tried to put my luggage on the Gatwick flight, we were re-united three days later. My colleague, who has the surname Smith, has had his luggage get more airmiles than he has. His record was a flight to Frankfurt, his luggage ended up in Malaysia. I'd recommend a three hour window at least between connecting flights.
