How does your cat react to music? Fester came in, & was totally spooked, reacting like another cat was there?
Turned out it was because I had Janis Joplin playing, never reacts to my punk or metal like that!

I think it's to do with the tone and how high pitched it is as my cat hides under the bed & doesn't speak to us for days if we play some loud music!! Don't forget their little kitty ears drums are a lot more sensitive than ours!!

Our home is normally a very quiet calm place so the few times I've turned on the radio or "stereo" (or even when I've broken into song) the male cat usually just removes himself to the other side of the apartment and the female stares at me, gets kind of scared and panicky and eventually runs away. They just aren't used to that much sound in the place (and cat hearing is so acute what they hear is far greater then what I hear).
