My kitten has runny poop?

My 12 week old kitten has had runny poop for about 4 days now. I noticed it Friday and got onto my fiance about feeding the kitten human food. My fiance was home with the kitten Thursday and fed him hummus among other things i'm sure (grr!!). Saturday the kitten had his first vet appointment and had his rabies shot and was wormed (fecal test was negative). Saturday he was terribly lethargic (which is normal after vaccinations) and just slept the whole day and didn't eat much (but drank water). Sunday (yesterday) he was better and ate some but doesn't want his treats he usually eats. Today he's running around the house but hasn't eaten yet. He doesn't have accidents, his poop is just really runny. I didn't say anything to the vets because I was sure it was the table scraps my fiance was feeding him. Now i'm wondering if its a side affection of the vaccinations/worming?

He's drinking water and i've checked to make sure he's dehydrated (obviously the biggest concern and i'm keeping an eye on it). Since he's not having accidents, is eating off an on, and still drinking water (while running around) I don't want to take him into the vet yet. The second he stops eating or drinking or gets lethargic again I will. But for now, any ideas? Other than the table scraps we haven't changed his diet. If he was allergic to something my fiance fed him how long would he have diarrhea for??

Thanks for any help, I searched the web and nothing really seemed to apply here.

Update:

I know, I've been lecturing him. We've had a dog for a year and table food is a huge no-no with her too!

I only didn't tell the vet because I've had lots of animals and at the time, assumed it was the human food. I wasn't hiding it. They also tool a fecal sample so I assumed they would be able to tell consistency with that and would have let me know if something was wrong?

Anyway, yeah - as long as he's staying active, eating and drinking im not going to worry about it. Hopefully laying off the human food helps straighten him out. Thanks guys!

Update 2:

For reference, we do feed him kitten food - Iams to be exact. It's just that my fiance likes giving him "treats" of whatever my fiance happens to be eating...grrr...

the human food, the vaccinations, and worming meds all could have given him diarrhea. Since he is drinking water, it is a good sign that he is not dehydrating. Only feed a small amount of cat food at a time, 4 small meals a day with no fish, and see if his stomach calms down. It it continues into tomorrow, then he should see the vet.

It takes a while to get over the diarrhea caused by improper feeding. I'd say you could expect her to begin getting better tomorrow. If your kitty had gotten bad food she would have been throwing up, so I imagine it was just the scraps that was the problem.

Since she's eating and drinking I expect she'll be fine. Just tell your fiance that table scraps are strictly off limits!

Please never hide ANYTHING from your vet.

They see this stuff all the time, it's nothing to be embarrassed about. But it is most likely the food.

Considering it's been a couple days, give your vet a call ASAP. It's most likely the human food, which their bodies cannot properly digest.

And tell your fiance to STOP! Human food is TERRIBLE for a cat's digestive system!

Switch your kitty to kitty food. It is better for him. It has the nutrients that is good for him. Table scraps are ok, but only in little amounts. Big cats, it doesn't bother them, but little kittens--use kitty food. Purina is the best.
