How to choose a violin bow for a beginner?

My wife bought me a violin for Christmas since I always wanted to learn. She spent more on the instrument itself (it's not top quality, but a good student violin made in Romania) than she did on the bow. The bow is a $30 Glasser fiberglass model. I'd like to upgrade the bow so I'm wondering if I should go with something like the Glasser X Bow carbon graphite for @$100 or jump straight up to something like a JonPaul Bravo or a Coda Bow at @$300??

I just bought the presto carbon fiber bow from

    www.sharmusic.com

for $109. I thin k the violin bow is a few dollars less.

I have done business with Shar for over 30 years and have always been happy.

The carbon fiber viola bow is excellent for the price.

When you receive it, (any bow) be sure it warms to room temperature for 24 hours before you use it.

    It will need rosin.

The $300 bow is normally a great bow, but if you are a beginner you may not be ready to judge what you need or want.

Lol, I've always told everyone "You don't choose the violin, the violin chooses you".. LOL like Harry Potter and the wand?! Get it!? XD

I love it.. ahh.. my violin instructor agrees with me too... Anyways, I've always told myself, whatever just feels right, I'll take. I just get that "this is the one" feeling. And afterwards I stick with that feeling, and everything is better. lol
