What can me and my friend get for our friend's daughter who's pregnant?
We're thinking everyone is gonna be buying for the baby, and we suggested buying something for the mother-to-be when she's had the baby. Any suggestions please?

Before I was pregnant and knew nothing about what to really get for a baby shower, I settled on getting a travel-size diaper changing station (a portable pad with pockets) along with a little sack of baggies for dirty/wet diapers, a personal care kit of 99 cent bottles of baby shampoo, baby body soap, travel size wet wipes, travel size this, travel size that....blah blah blah, you name it. The total cost came to about $20.
I did this for 3 or 4 baby showers and it went over really well. Mothers told me 'You have no idea how much this came in handy!" Others would remark "Oh I never thought of that."
Another idea to is to buy a blank one for the mother to start herself.
The key is to sometimes think outside the box and stray from the wish list.
If you're at a loss, consider a gift card to the store she is registered at.
Good luck!

Have a look around for some "Medi Honey", it maybe called something different where you live but its a special honey which has great antibacterial properties and is GREAT for the new mother to put on her stitches down below which seem to be often these days or even if for some reason she has a csection she can use it on that.
Maybe some nice things like, lip balm, gift voucher for her local grocey store so she can buy nappies or something for herself, baby massage oil, nice calming room spray that has some essential oils in it like lavender to calm both mum and bub, movies or a voucher for a video rental place or online video rental place, moisteriser or somthing really nice and special like that, yummy treats, you could band together a few friends to make a few frozen meals and then create a pretend "voucher" on your computer for a couple of weeks of frozen meals
I would avoid getting baby clothes etc and she will already be buying herself many clothes for the baby and then will recieve lots of clothes from other friends and really most of the time the baby already has enough clothes and the clothe sthat are bought from other people aren't very simple and practical and simple and practical little bodysuits are all you need in the early days with just a couple of going out outfits which are just a little bit more flashy.

Well im heavily pregnant so going off what id like id say i love the idea of a pamper basket. Can be made personal then, favorite scents, bath bubbles, chocs etc. Or id maybe like some clothes vouchers as no guarantees of getting back in old clothes again straight away.

Depends on how much you were thinking of spending. I would reccomend slippers, robe, books, tea, calming lotions, movies, massage, gift card to her fav clothing store.
You may want to look into a camera, so she can keep up with how fast the baby is growing. :)

Id make her up a big pampering basket that she can use on herself eg,lush bubble bath, body cream, scented candles.Think any new mum would love that.
