meena, you have no idea what you are talking about, before you go giving off random facts do a little research, to me you look like a fool! did you know that certain animals can actually count, what does your logical reasoning power think of that. if you believe that animals act only on basic instincts and reflexes, then you clearly know nothing about the animal kingdom, perhaps you should put down the bible and pick up a copy of the national geography.

frank, the fact that we can rationalize our actions does not make us superior, if anything this makes us worse, most people do not take in stray animals and help out the poor. we have the potential to do a lot of things, that does not make us great, but rather, quite selfish, because most choose not to. how many times have you seen people walk past a homeless man?

oh and your reference to elephants, their ability to remember, understand, link cattle to humans and to seek revenge on people who have killed their mothers and calfs, does nothing in your argument that people are superior.

And so to answer your question, we are the inferior ones, we continue to destroy our planet, despite knowing what we are doing. we only have 1 planet! we are quite foolish!

we genetically modify our food, we use pesticides, we fill our bodies with chemicals, all without knowing what it may do to our bodies. we play trial and error with our health.

we mass produce food for the rich, we overcook and overeat, we waste tonnes of food with no regard for the poor or starving. we destroy forests for even more farm land, we steal and rape mother nature, selling her wild animals to the highest bid.

we are the most selfish, idiotic creatures and unfortunately for the the earths other inhabitants, this is our home.

so what creature would be the most superior? they say dolphins are the most intelligent, however without bees all life on earth would dye out, no flowers could be pollinated, so no food would grow, in turn there would be no herbivores, and eventually no more carnivores. in my opinion bees are the superior creatures and instead of using pesticides in our gardens, we should try to protect these mini gods, as insurance for our own survival!

But we lack this responsibility, and thus adding destruction in the way we go, due to our struggle to survive.

We can be the inferior or be the creator for good. Really this depends on mankind.

superior requires a definition, and anything that can be defined, is rather irrelevant as it depends on the stand point you take. Let us use superiority as an example humans are superior in that they are able to divide simple concepts and analogies into vast subtexts thus enhancing our ability to predict the future.

But from a different stand point trees are the most superior as they have existed longer than any other living thing by adaptation and simplistic existence. so in my opinion we are a disease that has convinced it's self it is the always right. make no mistake, no matter how many dimensions you think your mind has, it is but a fraction of the true nature of the world, and i know this because of the existence of chaos, our failure to comprehend death, our failure to comprehend the meaning of life, and finally our failure to grasp the concept of 'suffer first enjoy later...

There is neither superior nor inferior as all are a part of the whole.

All parts are necessary so as to give rise to the manifestation of the whole.

The God dwells within all that exist and all that exist reflects this indwelling.

Yes because we have logical reasoning power. Animals cant even count 1 or 2. They act on basic instincts and reflexes. But we use the 5 senses and we infer something else using our logical reasoning power. So we are superior. Also we can analyse which is good and bad. But we can become an inferior creature by acting like an animal. For example a rapist has become inferior.

We, like all animals, fight and kill. We have the potential to kill each other and other animals, yet we have the ability to protect, care for and love everything.

We are Superior because we can rationalize our actions and create great cities and use technology. We also have the ability to take in stray animals, feed the needed and clothe the poor...

We are Superior only because of our potential.

However you can not put all people into this mix, for there are bigots and fools in this world who care not for fellow man nor animal, and they are the ones who are below even a rat.

Remember though, Apes go to war with each other, Loins kill for their food, elephants kill for revenge... No animal has ever sent a care package to another in need.

Yes no doubt God created us as superior living thing on earth as he said in Holy Quran: Human beings are (Ashraful Makhulqat) Better than the other creatures.

I didn't do any research but I do believe the that we are the superior living things on the Earth.

We have created numerous things.

But we have also destroyed so many things as well.

We have polluted the air and damaged the ozone layer and we have created global warming.

Our actions shape our fate and future.

Wether our planet lives or dies, it will be the cause of our actions.

I feel we are superior in one way and inferior in other ways. So we are both. It is clearly proved because of the reason given by you later. Mostly we are responsible for all the pollution, adulteration and contamination.

Define "supreme". What qualities make one species supreme to another? We humans call ourselves supreme, but only because we are the only ones who possess intellect. But why should we value intellect so highly? and everything else so lowly? Is it odd that the only quality that sets us apart is the only quality we value... seems more like stacking the deck just so that we CAN call ourselves superior.
